Rear Overhead Speakers Volume Problem

Has anyone else noticed that on a 9 speaker system the overhead rear speakers are much lower in volume than the rear door speakers? So much that the highs are very low and the mid range and bass is over powered when sitting in the rear seats.

Is there a way to correct this?

They don't have a proper tweeter so the highs are not very good. I just swapped mine out with some JBL GX302s and it is improved. Not really much else you can do.

On my updated harmon kardon system I have the opposite problem.

My concern with choosing a new speaker is increased impedance. So the JBLs are a little louder?

They had an update for the amp with the Harmon Kardon. People are reporting great improvements.

For the Alpine, yes. Alpine speakers are all 2 ohm. The JBLs are 2.3 ohm so not much of a difference there. The stock 3.5s really don't have a proper tweeter so the JBLs make for a good improvement.
