Both of the rear doors on my Limited crew cab do not make a solid/airtight sound like my front doors when I slam them shut. They just feel more lighter and hollow than the front doors. Anyone noticing this ?

I've noticed it as well on my Laramie CC. It's most noticable on my rear passenger side door. The front doors give a solid satisfying sound that I noticed the rear doors immediately.

Sign me up for also noticing but didn’t really care enough to do anything about it.

I don't find it to be a cause for concern, but yes—I've noticed this.
I'm hearing the road noise from the rear of the cab and I'm thinking that seal gaskets are not tight around the back doors.

Yes, and I talked to the dealer about this today. It's on the list of things they are going to work on when I take the truck in for the first oil change.

Both my rear door don't close flush with the cab, And I hear road noise, and seems to take a long time for the cab to get warm.. Although there is no water leaks I have noticed.. Means another dealer appointment (grrrrr)

Are you hearing the road noise from the rear passenger door?

Yes, I've noticed the back doors don't close with the same solid sound as the fronts too.

My rear drivers side door has a bit of a rattle when I close it, not enough to be concerned, just kinda annoying. Rear passenger side sounds fine. I thought about mentioning it to the dealer next time I take it in.....

I noticed it on my rear driver side door. Does not rattle while driving so not concerned at this point. I will have the dealer check it out when I go in for my first oil change.

Hello bbetts00,

Keep us updated on your dealer visit. If we can be of any assistance, send us a direct message. We'd be glad to help.

I’m just taking a guess here,,but could the difference in sound between front and rear doors when closing have anything to do with the vents on back of cab? I noticed that on my 14 regular cab 2500 the vents would flap open when I would close the door

That could be a reason but I still don't understand what's the purpose of this vent that supposedly allows dirt and road noise to enter the cab.

Any update on this? I have been noticing it with my doors as well. It's annoying but I would rather not have the dealer messing around with it if there is no fix.
