Both of the rear doors on my Limited crew cab do not make a solid/airtight sound like my front doors when I slam them shut. They just feel more lighter and hollow than the front doors. Anyone noticing this ?

I'm hearing the road noise from the rear of the cab and I'm thinking that seal gaskets are not tight around the back doors.I don't find it to be a cause for concern, but yes—I've noticed this.
Are you hearing the road noise from the rear passenger door?Yes, and I talked to the dealer about this today. It's on the list of things they are going to work on when I take the truck in for the first oil change.
Ah, I see. Mine is pretty darned quiet until I'm up around 70 mph.I'm hearing the road noise from the rear of the cab and I'm thinking that seal gaskets are not tight around the back doors.

That could be a reason but I still don't understand what's the purpose of this vent that supposedly allows dirt and road noise to enter the cab.I’m just taking a guess here,,but could the difference in sound between front and rear doors when closing have anything to do with the vents on back of cab? I noticed that on my 14 regular cab 2500 the vents would flap open when I would close the door
