hey guys
...oh where to start.
2020 built to serve
Etorque 8
you guys know this truck....problem is I smacked a deer and now the shop has just royally screwed up and is trying to tell me I'm mistaken...
The one without pictures is the issue with hitting deer with fender....its loose and feels like some clips etc got broke, it shifts about a quarter inch easily with light pressure, as does the other (broken) front cover and the fender flare...guys telling me they didn't touch fender....duh the deer did and it's loose. Oh yeah they gave me a loaner that I told them had a very bad tranny. They said they had heard it was having issues, 5 days later it totally went while on the road...

Now to the big stuff.
1-came back with the wrong grille!!!! And they say they searched by vin and will have to discuss with parts.

2- see pic for front panel that was hanging out when I picked it up...I can literally pull it off completely with light forward pressure. Mechanic said oh clips are broke....yeah...go on....
3....immediately I said bumper color was off. He's fighting me saying it called for black matte "even more expensive. We wouldn't have done it if it wasn't right" and he's actively arguing I'm wrong...
4- headlights
..my girls pristine you will see a refernce pic of clear glass that was my prior to accident headlight on the opposite side...and then they gave me a obviously previously repaired light that fogs and shows all the scratch and prior repair attempts. Repair bill even states all new parts unless specified....and charged 1100.

So....weigh in on me being appropriate with challenging all these to the hilt, and then any insight into getting bumper to Match again code or finish wise is appreciated....they are gonna fight me tooth and nail.

Before pics of truck for reference included

More of the bumper. It messes with me as sometimes it looks more black but then it's totally two tones when I look sometimes. Buddies car was in front of me and gave me a perfect contrast with the light on it

It is my internet opinion that the color is off and the headlight is awful. I can't even tell it's a headlight in the picture. I guess it's raining too? Lol

Bad shop. Not sure what your options are.
As far as I know bumpers are color matched or chrome, not grille matched?
Cant tell by your pictures because you are taking screenshot, of pictures posted on a website.
Is it rain? I think it's snow.

My $.2 have you contacted your Insurance provider? Looks like they pulling some bs.. headlight looks used and charged either you or your insurance provider the cost of a new one.. trim underneath the headlight the clip is obviously broken which (the trim) should of been replaced with a new one and then painted. Look over the invoice and see what was actually charged. Bumper color is obvious off and a horrible attempt to match the correct paint code. Matte black isn’t just matte black. Did you pick this shop or was that also done by your provider?

Definitely go through your insurance company. They should be making it right for you. Even if that means going to a different shop and back charging the first one.

Grill is definitely wrong. Trim piece should have been replaced as part of repairs, bumper color is off. From my understanding the BTS bumpers weren't a traditional paint. Closer to a powder coat. And are more satin then matte. My aftermarket bumoers are powder coated a satin black and a a lot better match than yours.

Call your insurance company and take the truck to a different shop. Stop expecting the current shop to correctly repair the truck, they've shown you they don't care so believe them.

Insurance company will try and require current shop to "make it right" before letting you take it to a different shop. But without the insurance company backing you up, it will be hard to convince current shop they are wrong, or insurance company seeing the current ship is incompetent

Wow, that is a horrible repair job. Have you connected with your local CDJR dealer's parts department to get the right part numbers for grill, headlight, etc? You should insist on genuine parts, as someone else said, the headlight is clearly used, and the bumper is a paint match job.

Some other threads on here, they mention that the bumper is powdercoated, not painted. So unless they can do that, it may never truly match.

Call the insurance company and request that an adjuster come out and inspect the vehicle in person. They most likely would also like to know if they are getting bamboozled by this “collision shop.”

That's why I said speak to the insurance company. There's enough going on at this shop that I'd argue they repaired the truck with used parts.
IDK where the OP is but in Texas, insurance cannot make you use or stay with a specific shop much less one doing substandard work. OP may need to involve a lawyer

The "new" 1100 one

That headlight is used and has been flat sanded and buffed with a DA polisher, you can see the DA micromarring "J"s clear as day

Looks even worse then when I polished my 2013 Acadia's headlights LOL.
I wonder if this is even through insurance though?
