Ready to order Limited

I have to apologize to you people, the dealer listed above is a lair. We went in today to order but could not because of the etorque. Will not be dealing with him.

Sorry to hear it. I had a couple dealers in my area send me quotes when I knew eTorque was closed, so I figured they hand calculated the additional charge. One dealer I've been dealing with has told me ordering is supposed to open back up "sometime this week."

I heard back from DD and same story....."eTorque motor is currently on restriction".
He did not give me a release date which I'm ok with. If the dealer doesn't know then they don't know. I prefer that vs. a swag and false hope.

Who are you dealing with from DD? Do you mind sharing their email? I can’t get the guy I’ve been dealing with to acknowledge my existence which is frustrating considering I’m trying to buy a ~$60k truck from them.

Is there any way to get accurate information on what the the hold up is on the eTorque? I was hoping to put in an order for a Limited with RamBox and eTorque (Dennis Dillon, most likely), but when I called today, they were unable to place it. I finally decided on the dream truck, and now I can't order it! I'm was hoping for an early January arrival, but I have many doubts now.

I got an email from another dealer yesterday that said ordering for eTorque V8 was shut down until some time in November and that even when it opens back up, production on those orders won’t start until January. He said that his Ram rep told him, Ram was overwhelmed by the volume of orders and shut down ordering in order to catch up.

I was impressed that DD sent me a quote earlier this week without me having to reach out. They monitored etorque ordering opened back up and processed my request.

MSRP: $70.7k
Invoice (via CarsDirect): $64.6k
DD Price: $59.8k (with Chrysler Financing)

Since they only gave me one price I had to ask some clarifying questions.

$59.8k
+ $1k (if you don't use their financing)
+ $1.5k (current incentives they included)
= $62.3k

This equates to dealer providing 3.5% under invoice. Not so impressed. Certainly not the 5-7% everyone talks about.
Not included is $299 doc + TTL

Also, all this waiting is painful since every option (etorque, trailer brake controller, panaroof, etc) has increased in price and the RAM incentives hasn't moved much.

That's not terrible. Koons is the best I've seen so far - 7% under invoice with a $699 admin fee, which would put your truck at 60777 before incentives, so only about $1500 off from where you are, but with a fly-and-drive to Virginia.

Hey guys, contact Craig Benner at Koons Tyson in Virginia, he is a no nonsense dealer at 7% BELOW INVOICE! He may be a distance away, but well worth it!!!

Hi all. After watching this forum closely for the last several months and waiting for the Rambox floodgates to open, I'm ready to pull the trigger and order a 2019 Limited. Added config to my signature per @mikemcfarland :)

I'd appreciate it if someone could run a POC. @JRS200x, @BobbiBigWheels ?? Would like to have it before engaging the dealers. Also, I'm also not sure if Patriot Blue is still available to order.

I'm going the email route with local dealers first. I'm in Seattle (Eastside), 98059 area. Not sure how much they'll play ball so I will also send to Dennis Dillon for comparison. I don't mind going a bit out of my way if the deal is right.

I need to take a closer look at incentives. Currently $1500 cash back. I received $500 bonus cash but it expired :(. Not sure if affiliate (Access Fund / Tread Lightly) is worth it. No military or truck conquest.
Dillon has $1k off for FCA financing. Has anyone signed up for that and immediately paid it off.

Cheers and thanks.
Is Dave Smith in Kellogg ID still relevant? I think they operate a shuttle from the Spokane airport.

Ordered truck 11/12.
Took out Bed Utility Group as it seems it doesn't really get you anything with Limited/Rambox. Guess I can always add tie downs or divider if truck doesn't arrive with them.
Ordered bed side step as that was a new separate option.
GM says it'll take 5 weeks but I'm not holding my breath.

Does anyone know when in January they will start building the etorque trucks, didn’t realize there would be such a wait when I order my truck

I ordered the same day as you on the 12th. Dealer states there is no hold and truck is being built and going through the process. Note, I haven't confirmed factory status so dealer may be wrong.

I’ve been stuck in D status and i checked with ram chat today and they said they are awaiting parts for my truck. I’ve seen a few post that said ordereds opened back up for the etorque in November but won’t be built until January.

Cool. I received $500 private cash offer in the mail today. Now I just need to get the truck before it expires.

I got a call from my dealer Tuesday, stating the truck has been built and shipping via rail. Etorque and all. Yea!!! (y)

I pulled the Build Sheet via the web this morning......wait!...what!!! .....o_O that's not what I ordered. How the heck did the Trailer Tow Group get on there???
Went back to the configuration piece of paper the General Manager at the dealer handed me. It's correct.

Somewhere, somehow, something got twizzled. Dealer is trying to figure it out now but sheesh, really?
I even remember the General Manager stating he wouldn't recommend the Tow Mirrors 'cause they're only couple inches wider and you lose all the other stuff (power folding, 360 camera's, etc.).

So, let's recap;
- July '18; I'm all ready to buy a Ford F150 Platinum. Saw the Ram and decide to go that route :)
- Aug / Sept; Decided to wait until Rambox orders start to get fulfilled :(
- Oct; Ready to order but can't because Etorque is on hold. Bummed that all option prices have increased :(
- Nov; Order is in, but bummed that my 1st color choice-Patriot Blue is gone :(
- Nov; Lifetime warranty goes away which I was planning on getting. Nobody (dealer) can do anything to help
- Dec; Truck is on the way but wrong option configuration  Also bummed that incentives went down from Nov :(

Maybe it is time to go back to Plan A, Ford F150.
I'm now concerned with all the trouble folks are having with their Ram's. I really don't want to deal with a :poop:

Rant over.

That's where I ended up getting mine. I was just about ready to order from Koons, and thought I'd take another look at dealers closer to home. It turned out I didn't have to order, because Dave Smith had exactly what I wanted in stock. The price they quoted was within $1k of Koons, and easily offset with the difference in airfare, and gas & hotels for the drive home. Did the deal over the phone on a Monday, caught a 6am flight to Spokane Tuesday, and was back home (Portland area) in time for dinner. This is in Kellogg, right after I drove off the lot:
