Heyo guys. This is a bit of a reintroduction, so bear with me.
In 2020, I joined this forum with a 2020 Limited. In 2023, I became very scarce over here, as I moved primarily over to the TRX forums after trading that in on a 2023 TRX Havoc Edition. Loved the truck.
Well, my company decided to "restructure" IT, which included letting about 10%-20% of it go through position elimination. For a many areas, they decided to do a "most experienced = most paid = first to be let go" strategy. Being the most experienced in my area, I was the one chosen to be handed his walking papers. As a result, while I search for my next job, wife and I rebalanced our budget, ditching the car loans. Sold a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse (6-speed) and the beloved TRX. This left us with some equity for a newer truck for me, but not in the TRX or RHO price range.
I have an extensive history of Ram trucks, including multiple with the 5.7. Being I lost a 700 HP monster, I decided the HO Hurricane was the next best thing. Started looking at low mileage 2025 Limiteds (including Longhorns). After some disappointing results for weeks due to crap dealers or finding great looking trucks with one thing or another wrong with them, I happened by a smaller dealership that had a Tungsten they'd been sitting on for at least 3 months, constantly lowering the price. Couldn't find anything wrong with it, just was previously overpriced.
To my surprise, they were willing to deal a bit, and got them down to $500 over the price of a well optioned 2025 Limited. So here we are today, and I "rejoining" the 5thgenrams forum. Here are a couple quick shots after signing the papers. Hope to see you guys around (again)!
