I am looking to get a tune with a primary benefit of reduced drive-by-wire delay and also improved shifting, and secondarily any performance boosts. Based on my own research I am looking at Diablo and Livernois). I am curious if any of you have any feedback on either of those.

1. How was the process to get the PCM unlocked
2. How are the ends results
3. Any other feedback

You didn't supply any vehicle info. But the Pulsar does all that without having to unlock your PCM. I'd say, unless you are changing engine internals and certain external items, you might be better off. Just my opinion.

I agree with what you stated, with the caveat that the Pulsar does not work and play well with the GT, so as long as OP has doesn't have one of those the Pulsar is a good investment, and meets the needs he stated.

@mcat79 , I can't speak to Livernois, but I can say Diablo will easily meet your stated goals. I purchased an unlocked PCM along with my tuner from them, and install went as planned. I only encountered one issue after install, MDS-off setting was inconsistent. I worked with Diablo (I think it was Mike?) to get parameters nailed down and he was able to send me a download that worked great. Trans feel/shifting is much improved, throttle lag was addressed, and I am satisfied with the performance from the 93 tune.

I have had the Pulsar for 4 years and used it to get rid of throttle lag, and the jump from stop signs. It also smoothed out the shifts for me, and works great while towing. Very pleased with the performance of it, and pretty much leave it in the economy setting.

NO Pulsar if you have a G/T unfortunately!

If going with Diablosport, consider having High Horse Performance or other Mopar Performance Shop do a "custom" tune for you. Once you have an unlocked ECM and DS Programmer, HHP will have you email them your current ECM datalog to read, and then will write a tune to optimize your parameters and email it to you to upload..pretty simple process to get as much as possible without a full custom dyno tune.

Sorry, it was in my signature though - "2022 Laramie 1500 crew cab 4x4 5‘7, Granite Crystal black interior 5.7 Hemi eTorque, ORP"

Will the pulsar throttle change be similar to a Livernois/Diablo tune or more akin to a pedal commander? Any downsides to going with Pulsar if I dont have any other mods?

I'd avoid Livernois....they have a questionable reputation in the Charger/Challenger community.

Or so I've read.....

Thanks for all of the feedback. I ended up ordering a Diablo i3 via Hemifever with his custom tune, including the trans tune. Fingers crossed! I’ll report back if anyone is interested in results/experience.

Absolutely interested in your results and opinion after you get that done

Same in Ecoboost communities.

it's simple if less drive by wire delay is your goal than BANKS PETAL MONSTER is the most effective and least expensive way to go.
i got a PULSAR first so i could have the drive modes and turn off MDS and added a MONSTER last week. so i have a PULSAR and the MONSTER on my truck if i did it again i would just put the monster on and let it be. it's a different truck with the banks. DO NOT trust any other throttle controller BANKS is the be all end all.
and it's MADE IN THE USA. thank you Mr Banks
