Hello !

My name is Julien, 36 years old, i come from Belgium. I've buy a RAM 2019 since 1 year now. I come here for more information like custom, upgrade and different troubles that i encountered.
I have a 68' mustang convertible too. I love american car :)

I have many troubles with electronic system. Yesterday, the truck wouldn't engine off (
)
Also, my iphone is recognized 1 in 4 times by the "car play" system, it's boring to long travel.
My truck was down during 4 week because the key was not recognized. We had to change the computer who's manage that.
It's a to bad compared by the price here in belgium (70.000€ out of tax)

CarPlay seems to be more miss then hit it seems.
I don’t know...I would report this to the dealer. My CarPlay use has been nearly flawless. I can recall only once (ever) that I had to plug my phone in a second time, and it was because my phone was plugged in and locked before the truck was started.

Welcome! Sorry to hear you are having issues.

The CarPlay issue is almost certainly a bad USB Media Hub. Have them replace the media hub and update/reflash the software.

The engine not turning off should be able to be track down by the dealer. Could be a bad connection in the button or a bad module. Also make sure they perform the “grounding issue recall”. Bad grounds can wreak all sorts of havoc in the electrical system.

I try to make change all of entertainement system by my dealer. I will see later

I have had the problem and it drove me crazy. It was intermittent at first but then got worse. I thought it was a software glitch at first. Once they replaced the media hub, never had the problem again. There is a big thread on this issue here if you search for it. Members have tried all sorts of things but I’m telling you, if you have consistent CarPlay issues, have them change the media hub.

Well, at least you have a 68 Mustang with California plates on it to drive while your truck is in the shop.
Fake plate but the true belgian licence ID :) Police shut down the eyes if the correct plate in the back. Unfortunaly, the stang go out sunday only ;)
