Radio not shutting off re: active call

Seen a bunch of posts on this issue--turn off engine but radio won't turn off, claims there's an active call (when there isn't). Even unpairing your phone doesn't work.

This happened to my husband again today, so he enlisted his in-house IT support...me.

Messed with the settings - all useless. So went another route...and it worked. Ready?

1. Get your phone
2. Crank your truck up
3. Plug your phone into the truck
4. Turn the radio off
5. Unplug phone
6. Turn truck off

That's it. Let me know if it works or not for y'all.

I think this is normal - I have had the same experience with my 2019 and 2025. Wired phone or through Android Auto.
This will happen (in my case) as long as I am within 10-20 feet of the truck during the call, regardless of whether I turned the engine off.

Nah, definitely not normal. Normal means Apple Car Play working the way it should, not constantly glitching and wearing out batteries.
