Hi

I just have the truck for 3 month already, and have some problems I just wanna check if is only my truck or other trucks have the same problems

2019 Ram Longhorn

1.- A/C Dont work sometimes

2.- Squeeze sound from breaks

3.- whistle sound from the windshield

4.- 12' Inch Screen Freeze, sometime did not turn on

5.- Cracking sound on the road

6.- Turn off randomly

7.- Different Miles on the odometer and the Nav Info

8.- Backup Camera sometime didn't work

9.- A/C turn of when you stop

I already take the truck to the dealer but they told me they can find any problem, and about the 12 inch screen they know is have issues but they don't have a solution yet so just deal with it........ great service!!!!!!!

Hey All
My truck is less than 3 weeks old and I have had mine go to the dealer for the service axle locker code that keeps popping up as I drive. The unfortunate part that it’s a code that not sticking around and disappears
The dealer as usual looks at me and says there is no service bulletin on it and they don’t know yet so I should continue to keep an eye onit.
Obviously this is driving me nuts especially the truck doesn’t even have 700kms yet ( Yes it’s a Canadian vehicle )

I've had the same failure. Took 3 trips and Its never come back. Dealer says they failed to fully plug in wire connector to transmission control module.

I truly regret purchasing my 2019 RAM. I had a great truck with my 2012 Longhorn, swapped for a 2017 Longhorn and it too was excellent. Bought into the hype of the 2019 and it was a Huge mistake. Dealer sold me the truck I wanted. A Longhorn 4x4 Hemi with adaptive cruise and the 12 inch screen, 3.92 axle ratio. Took my down payment and deposited it. Told me come back next Monday and we will have it hear.
I show up Monday and they where searching for another truck as that one was no longer available. What?
They located an off road truck with what I wanted with except 3.92 axle. I wanted the towing capacity. Told me it would tow more then my 2017 at 9,000 lbs.
Two days after owning it the truck warning lights lit up like a Christmas tree. Took it in, reset a code and all good. Three days later, same issue. They kept truck for 7 days and replaced a sensors for the safety system. Following week brakes start to squeak loud. Have had it in three times and told STAR is saying they are sending a directive.
The hybrid they talked me into gets 17 mpg and it tows 8100 lbs.

Im having some major issues with my new 2019 Ram as well. Here is a summation.
FCA has not been helpful. Obviously the 2019 has major electrical problems that FCA is aware of.
Im hiring an attorney.

11/13/18:
Issue #1
While driving the truck presented with a shut down of the RADIO and nav system, next it warned the ABS system was shut down, next I lost power steering, finally the trucks entire electrical system shut down and the truck stalled and shut down completely.
The truck was towed to allstar dodge for repair.

The hybrid battery system was replaced.
The truck was returned to me.

Issue #2
One day 2 after receiving the truck 3 things occurred.
1. The radio flashed and shut off.
2. A service stability control system message appeared.
3. A service the 4wd system message presented.
The truck was returned to Allstar Dodge.

Issue #3
Season Mence the service manager
Reported to me that numerous transmission codes were discovered and cleared.
At that time she asked permission to drive the truck to see if other problems were reproducible.

Issue # 4
On 1/11/19
Season Mence notified me that am of 1/11/19 the radio froze and a new radio has been ordered.
As of 1/14/19 the truck remains in repair.

In summary I would like to stress all these issues appear to be of a single origin which is of an electrical nature.
Keep in mind 2019 Is the 1st year dodge produced the etorque hybrid electrical system which this truck has.
I am of the the strong opinion that the origin of the problems are of electrical nature.

Is your truck an etorque?

FCA and Dealers play games and point fingers at each other since they are independent of each other.

I have had nothing but problems with my 2019 RAM 1500 . Going to have to go to court since they will not offer ANY resolution outside of court. Here are a few defect

Front brakes squeak

Right center armrest material unraveling

On highway, when quickly but lightly pressing brakes, vehicle pulls right.

Transmission clunk on quick stop and go and starts in 2nd then shifts to 1st then 2nd

When slowing down in 2nd then accelerating from 5-10 mph trans has slop and does not engage gear then slams into gear

Shift delay is excessive, feels like a manual transmission shift. more TCM updates?

Inside rear view mirror moves very easy

Dash plastic snapping with center vent stack and general dash with heater on or hitting bumps.

Center armrest hinge creeks when leaning on and opening.

when charging phone on Apple Play port, bluetooth is connected but will not play.

Radio volume on start up loud with no control since radio resets to “radio” and cannot control until radio boots up.

Traction control off switch does not turn traction control off.

When air set to foot vent, air comes out side window defrost vents

Clicking noise under middle of vehicle on start up

Fast fwd radio inop when playing media like podcast

Door lines very uneven bottom door sticks out and top sucked in

Dash light dimmer extremely bright then next setting down too dim

Those defects are not even the frustration, its the lack of care and willingness to get them resolved both by FCA and the 4 closest dealers (FORT COLLINS DODGE has been the WORST!!) its like I don't even have a warranty. Dealers don't want to deal with difficult fixes and FCA defers to the dealer, its a TOTAL SCAM. oh and RamCaresLess

My truck is normal but they do not want to take it back I hired a lawyer but they only offer a monteria compensation that the truth is not the solution a problem that is constantly presented yesterday here in Texas it was 90 F and the A/C is going out 3 times, and finally also turn it on when you turn it on different things sometimes it tells me that the shock prevention system is off, after the smart cruise control does not work and when you leave it on for a while, the turn signals are activated and It activates the horn, as if it were activated to alarm, I do not know if it is a security means so you know that the car is on or if it is a problem in the software because once I borrowed a jeep and the same thing happened but I still in the same with the constant problem and without a solution on the part of FCA more than a few dollars that would not help at all.

I really regret having changed my truck, and another gasoline consumption is infamous, I put the middle grade and most of my driving is in the city and with the cruise control at the speed limit and the maximum I have seen are 12 MPG right now is 11.1 MPG

Yeah, man I feel you. It is absolutely mind boggling how poorly Dealers and FCA care for their customers! I have 5 dealer visits in 2 states since 200 miles and FCA will NOT give me my $ back. non of us want to go to court but thats what it is leading to. The worst part is even if I get my money back. all the time stress and $ i have spent over the past 5 months is a loss. its not the problems that drive consumers MAD is the way they are handled!! they are burning customers for life.

Dude RamCaresLess doesn't help. I had a brake pull safety concern and all they did was reach out to the service manager like I did. After Fort Collins Dealer was too incompetent and lazy to diagnose, the told RamCaresLess that nothing was wrong with my truck. FCA said they said nothing is wrong with your truck so there is nothing we can do.. How useless.. Obviously something was wrong.

After taking my truck to 4 dealers in 2 states. Boulder CO Dealer was the only one that was able to diagnose. My brand new truck, it had a cracked rotor on the right front causing a pull and dangerous driving condition. ALSO Fort Collins Dealer claimed to update my TCM for my transmission complaint and they never did but they got paid for it. ..Boulder fixed it. FCA and these dealers have no one to answer to, so the only thing we can do is NOT buy their product. Then they will listen. I am still fighting for my hard earned $ back. Court is next

got on this forum. I bought a ram 1500 and have pampered it...only 4500mi in 9 months of driving. I also have issues with the A/C...I got an HVAC thermometer, and the ram blows 10 degrees warmer than all my other vehicles. I haven't even taken it in for it's first service, but you guys have me scared it will not be addressed by dealer

I purchased a 2019 ram Laramie longhorn 4x4 and satelite radio will only function on voice command
Its at the dealership for over a week and the only response I get is they have a case opened up with Ram. I am not very happy for a 67k truck that you purchased and has driven a total of 2 days with no answer to tha problem

Hi Curtis,

We apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing with your new Ram. Is there a case on the customer care side? Send us a private message as we'd like to discuss this further and help however we can.

I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited on 2/20/19. On 3/18/19 the transmission failed after 568 miles. As of today, truck is still sitting at the dealer. Apparently it is difficult to obtain a replacement transmission. Every week I call and am told maybe next week. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe how I currently feel about this truck.

That should not be an issue. My truck with only 180 miles on it is getting a new tranny which was ordered on 3/29 and is supposed to deliver to my dealer by tomorrow.

It’s because they won’t divert a transmission from the production line as that would affect new sales. It’s bad business to not take car of an actual customer. It will hurt them in the long run
