Just be glad you didn't get the steel one as a spare like some ram owner have. Problem being If you had to put the spare on, the lug nuts were bottoming out on the studs before it would tighten up against the thinner material of the spare. I would consider yourself lucky.

I've never seen an aluminum spare on an american truck. I would consider that a win!

That was one of the reasons I ordered the Off-Road Group... comes with a full-size spare tire, instead of the donut.
