Preferred Fuel System Treatment?

I've been noticing some rough idle and decreased performance. Currently have 92k on the odometer and have been thinking about running a fuel system treatment on my next fill up to see if that helps

Ever replaced the spark plugs or cleaned the MAP sensors? I’d start there and see.

If you’ve been using top tier fuel there isn’t much more a little bottle of additive can do other than relieve you of a few bucks.

I have had 4 Hemi vehicles, fuel cleaner made difference on my vehicle's. My 13 Ram 5.7 every year I when tank was about 25 gallons I would put a double dose of a p.e.a cleaner like Regane, then at same time add double dose of lucas fuel additive. When I got down to about empty I could start feeling engine get power back and smoother. Seemed like the power coming back happened all of sudden. Is only additives I use except lubeguard biotec/heavy duty in my oil to increase moly in the penz ultra plat.

I use redline. Spring and fall tank in the boats and every 10k miles in the cars. I plan a treatment when I know I’m going to blast through an entire tank I.E. towing for more than 3 hours.

Have done that in all my 5.7s to well over 100k with 0 fuel system related problems.

I’m also by the book or sooner on other maintenance like plugs/filters/pcv/TB cleaning etc.

Try cleaning the throttle body to smooth out the idle.

Don't just hose it down with carb spray and don't use a wire brush. Too much spray and you run the risk of it getting into the throttle position sensor and motor. A brush may scratch things. Just wet a rag and scrub the edges of the throttle plate and the throttle bore where the plate closes.

If it was really gunky, the idle may be high afterwards, but it will relearn soon enough.
