Good afternoon
I have a 2020 1500 5.7L Hemi
Starting about a week ago, a few minutes to 10 minutes after starting my truck the fan would get real loud and the power steering would completely go out. Then after 30ish seconds everything goes back to normal. Then it happens again a few minutes later but for a shorter amount of time. Then it would be perfectly fine for the rest of the trip.
It was like that for about a week but yesterday and today after the first 2 cycles of the loud fan / loss of power steering there’s more cycles that last for a few minutes. Just no power steering and a loud fan under the hood… then everything goes back to normal but the power steering light stays on.
My coolant and battery are good. I have one of those code scanners but nothing pops up. I don’t see any wires loose or exposed.
I know taking it to the dealership is what you should do but I don’t have a warranty and really don’t want to deal with a dealership/ shop. Does anyone know what this could be? Please
