So, stopped for gas, put the truck in park, and both side steps deployed out. Turned it off stay deployed, open and close doors on both sides, stay deployed. Restart and turn shift knob, when it hits R they retract, when it hits N they re-deploy, when it hits D they retract. Opposite action when gong from D to P. Also they seem to be really torquing in and out, like fast and hard. Got home, put in P out they go close the door, they stay out, lock the truck, they stay out. My settings are set to auto and nothing was changed up to this point each deployed individually with the appropriate side doors. Anybody else experience anything like this. Guess I’m calling for an appointment tomorrow.

hope you get that problem rectified as I have deployables no problem yet.let us know what they find at the dealer.
Called for service appointment.....Some heavy thunderstorms coming, so I garaged the truck. It’s all back to normal.
Don’t you just love this intermittent electronic stuff.

Hi Keemosabe,
We're sorry to hear about this. Send us a private message if this happens again and we'll gladly assist you while you take your truck into your dealer to have this inspected.

This happened to me after I tried to deploy them while in motion. Was hoping it was a hidden setting as I prefer them out while parked. Haven’t been able to recreate it though 😞

I unhooked the battery overnight and it resolved itself the next day when I hooked it back up.

Having the exact same issue with my truck today. Additionally my air suspension is acting up. Will disconnect the battery tonight when I get home.

Thanks Callie. The issue mentioned here happened for a few hours each and every time without fail. I let the truck sit for another few hours and the issue seemed to resolve itself, and not happen since. I will keep an eye on it but this was the first and only time it happened (this day).
