2022 Ram 1500 Bighorn quad cab 6.4.
What are my options for having power folding mirrors?
I'm only 5'8" but have to duck my shoulder under the mirror when exiting in the garage where I try to keep her.

I could be wrong but I believe the only way to do it is with Tazer. There is no factory setting for it and I have alpha OBD and I don’t think that will do it. I think it has to be a live setting that Tazer can do because it stays plugged in all the time. Also I would actually advise against it because I think the mirrors have plastic gears that wear out quickly if they move all the time

Need the proper mirrors, door modules, door panel with switch to start. Then AlphaOBD, Jscan, or Tazer (for auto fold). Security bypass and OBD scanner to use with AlphaOBD/Jscan.

This is the answer. To put it another way:

1. To get folding mirrors, you need the parts and programming listed using AlfaOBD or JScan
2. To get auto-fold, you would need Tazer as the door modules don't support auto-fold

It is 100% possible with Alfaobd. But as others said, you need the correct mirrors, door modules and window switch panel. Then enable the setting with Alfa. I did this mod on my dads 2023 truck when he had it.

Thanks!
I have the Alfaobd program and equipment.
What was the cost of the mirror parts needed and how long ago did you do it?

Thanks!

It’s been over a year ago or more now. I don’t remember the exact cost, but I want to say around 6-700$. Once you get the parts installed, just enable via Alfaobd and you’re good to go.

That's not awful!
Thanks again!

Look on marketplace, there are always ram power fold mirrors for sale, usually in the $200 range as people pull them to replace with tow mirrors. If you don't have factory blinds pot indicators in the mirrors, it should be easy to find a set. You'll need the new switch which you can buy on ebay or Amazon and you'll need the door module. Junkyard might be best place to get those or ebay. Then it's simple to program. I wouldn't be able to fit my truck in the garage if my mirrors didn't fold and I'm too lazy to fold in the passenger side one manually every time. If I didn't have them, I'd park outside, or I'd do the swap, it's not hard. Now if you want to swap to power fold tow mirrors, that's a whole different animal since I don't think they were even an option till 22 and are a real unicorn to find (in my case with blind spot monitor).
