Post your Crew Cab 6’4 bed. (Official Longbed Thread)

My 2019 had the 6'4" and my 2020 has the 5'7"
To me the 6'4" was just too big. Parking is a total PITA. I figure for anything decent sized the tailgate is going to be down anyways.

3 1/2 is perfect! I cut off the tabs on the crossmemeber trying to use 4in kit for a 4th gen that didn’t work at all. So I had no choice but to go 6in lift and I love it! No regrets at all!View attachment 10830
Truck looks sweet! Can’t wait to start working on mine soon

Yes even where I live most folks don’t want we consider longbeds as they usually already have 8 foot bed trucks.

Finding a Limited with the 6’4” bed was tough - seems 90% plus of all the 1500’s are the short bed. Here’s my 2020

I had the same difficulty finding a Longhorn with 6’4” bed. So ordered one in September and have been enjoying it for a few weeks now.

That's a beautiful truck, congratulations! I wanted the 6'4" bed, but I wanted Ram Boxes more, so had to settle for the 5'7" bed. I'm envious of your garage building, our Longhorn Crew 5'7" won't fit in our garage.

It's my sleeping quarters when I go camping. 5.7 is too short.
This is my primary reason as well - with a topper with screens and a bedrug it is a sweet camping rig. I also appreciate the ability to haul 8ft lumber diagonally etc. It does make it very hard to find a truck in inventory with all my options however!

Mine (5’7”) just barely fits in my current garage. The new house Im buying it won’t fit (19’6”). What are new home builders thinking?

I lucked out and found my Limited with 6’4” bed about 2 hours away.
That a 2020 or 2021? But, damn, it’s the color I wanted. Last March, I couldn’t find the long bed in red in a Limited anywhere near me, and was looking for like a month. I gave up, but wife found the blue one couple hours away. What I hated is I lost the SurroundView simply cause that truck had the towing mirrors.

It’s a 2021. Red is hard to find around here to begin with. Mine does not have the electronics package with the surround view, but I was glad it didn’t. I didn’t want to pay $3k for lane assist, ACC, and rear ventilated seats that I don’t use anyway. Made the truck that much more affordable.

Did adding the topper have any effect on fuel economy?
I know you were asking other posters but I have a 2019 CC 4x4 6.4 bed with an ARE Z series topper (also had a topper on my 2014 BH) I haven't noticed any change in MPG - I also have a bed shelf/drawer and gear in the bed but still average 17-18mpg with a mix of city/highway. I didn't drive the truck much before adding the topper but this seems to be on par with other folks mpg reports.
