Position A on Fuse F54 to power MagSafe charger

I read a few threads about constant 12V from and fed the power line of my MagSafe charger to fuse 54 (position A). However, after I start the engine the charger stops charging my iPhone.

Did anyone experience the same?

That seems really strange. 54A provides constant power...correct? I have my MagSafe charger wired into the center console power outlet circuit but with the fuse set to position 54B (on/off with ignition). It works as intended.
