Anyone having issues with the steel Hillman chrome plugs rusting? Might pickup a set and just curious.

I had a woman back into my truck, the bodyshop manager called me and said " I noticed you had the plate holes in your bumper plugged, want us to weld em up and paint, we have to paint the bumper anyway " well yes sir I do!!

So no plate holes or plugs for me, just smooth bumper

I have a flame red ram. Anyone know where they sell color matched ones?

is 3/8" or 7/16" a better plug size for these holes?... or is it some other size?

Admittedly, I'm being lazy by not getting calipers out to measure the hole

well lazy doesn't get results so I went and measured with calipers... looks to be 9.75mm (.384")... which is closest to 3/8" ... So I'm gonna order some of these https://www.amazon.com/WIDGETCO-inch-Aluminum-Grey-Plugs/dp/B01600FXFU/ref=pd_sbs_60_2/146-3768679-8940851?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01600FXFU&pd_rd_r=c0421f3c-da87-4b15-9b8c-685517d1af72&pd_rd_w=vrf1L&pd_rd_wg=ueY5Y&pf_rd_p=bdd201df-734f-454e-883c-73b0d8ccd4c3&pf_rd_r=BFWYFBED5ZCF69N15PTT&refRID=BFWYFBED5ZCF69N15PTT&th=1

Or maybe just run to Lowes and see if they have something that fits (in a color that works).

That WHOLE aisle of little sliding drawers, yup. I literally had 6 guys looking, one was the Store Manager. I was impressed, and lucky, I'd have never found them.

3/8 did not work for me... will be going back to lowes for 1/2".
That's weird, 3/8" worked perfect in mine...

I took some pics of packaging and paint and install on truck - will post later when I have time...

Waiting on grey ones from Amazon to see if the color matches.

3/8...had to splay the tabs out a bit, but they held, 7 months now, still look great for a buck a pop.
