Outside temp reading 8 to 10 degrees high most of the time on a 2025 ram 1500 Laramie.

the reason is, the temp sensor is inside one of the side-view mirror housings,(I forget which side). It heats up like a little oven inside the mirror if it's in the sun awhile. Why, for the love of God they put the ambient temp sensor in that spot, is anyone's guess.

I keep my truck parked in my garage and its still always way off.

Makes sense. At work, I park with the left side facing the sun in the afternoon. I've come out to temps showing 125+ degrees. Tires on drivers side also 1-2 psi over passenger side. When going thru a car wash, it can go down 20+ degrees.

TY!
Found it. Unplugged, cleaned off a little rust and corrosion on the probe, reconnected, doesn’t look like much sun in our future…but will be interested to see if anything changes.
any time!
i was looking up if there's anyway to recalibrate it via alphaobd and that popped up haha

the thinking is hemi engine runs HOT and they sell more hemi trucks than V6 or Ecodiesel, so they located it there to be away from the hot engine.
previously there were in the front but still suspected to heat from engine.
