Have a 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie new since November. It reads at least 8 to 10 degrees higher than normal temperature most of the time regardless of whether it sits outside or not. I took it back to the dealer and they argued that temps vary depending on where it's taken. They said they thought the sensor was located behind the grill. All of the other vehicles I've had are usually within a couple degrees and normalize quickly once on the road. The other day, sitting outside for a couple hours in the sun, the truck temp reading was 98 and actual outside temp was 68. Very frustrating. I couldn't find any recent posts, since 2023, on the subject. Sounds like this has been an ongoing issue. Was wondering if anything new has been done officially to correct the problem.

I haven't noticed mine being off after I get moving. when parked in the sun it always reads way high, I always thought the sensor was in one of the outside mirrors but that was just a guess.

Same with my 25 Laramie. 8-10 degree difference. I’ve never had anyother vehicle be that far off.

mine said 86 sitting in the sun once I started to drive it dropped to 76 which was within one to Two degree of the actual temp. hope this helps.

Being in Phoenix metro area... I have known high temps. I was test driving mine and noticed it was like 126 but I think the outside temp was like 116 (10 degrees off). Initially I thought it was a fluke... but then the other day it was reading 130. Now Phoenix is two inches from the sun but its never been much over 122... let alone 130.

Mine is way off here in GA-- showed 117 and it was 95. Once I drove around I thought it would lower a good bit, but it only dropped to 114. Has anyone taken theirs to the dealer to see if there's a solution? Who'll be the first to ask and get a crazy non answer from the dealer?

Mine is usually pretty darn close, but on this day, the truck was sitting out in the sun last July here in the Phoenix area
