Only had my Limited for a week but loving the H.O.!

Sold my 2022 3.0 ED Longhorn Limited for the 2025 3.0 HO Longhorn Limited. I'm loving it. Power is remarkable. Not quite Telsa acceleration but feels pretty close if you lead foot it. No where near the MPG on the ED, but I don't care.

I'm loving my 2025 SST HO Limited Longhorn. Less than 1,000 miles on it so far, but I had the dealership change the oil at 750 miles. Recommend all of you do the same between 500-1,000 miles (break in). As a car racing guy who has broken in several motors I recommend you get any chavings or contamination out of the oil as soon as possible after the initial break in period (break in typical after 500 miles but not over 1,000).

Doing this will drastically improve the longevity of the motor Check out "The Motor Oil Geek" on YouTube he breaks it down using science. He changed his daughter's new car's oil at 500 miles and then sent a sample of that oil to get tested. He shows the benefit based on the science of the used oil.

Does anybody know what battery they use in the 2025 Limited? is it the H7 size like 2024s? I like to change out the crappy Ram batteries to a yellow top or Oddyssy one when it comes in... cant seem to find info online about the size..

What speed does your truck shift into 8th gear? Mine won’t shift into 8th until between 62 and 64 mph which seems high to me. Just curious if other are the same or if my shift points are whack. It’s smooth shifting though.

It’s all dependent on incline, cargo, etc it’s always changing

Thanks, it’s kinda baffling. I putter along in the morning to work about 55 because of deer and it don’t leave 7th gear at all. On the way home I can only get it to go to 8th above 62 and 64 seems to be a constant for it. Conveniently that’s when it goes into eco mode and aero also.

Interesting. The OEM battery in my 2012 RAM lasted for eight years and two weeks. I’ve never had a battery last so long.

I wasn't sure if I was going to really notice the differences between this 2025 and my 2024 but man this truck is nice! Came out of a 2024 1500 Limited elite and I like this interior more! And the HO engine is super smooth, I dont miss the HEMI at all.

Still loving the HO with a little over 3000 miles on it now... I know these forums are full of negative comments and complaints but as an actual owner of a HO it's still going well. I had a CEL come on when I remote started one night, went away and never came back. I am chocking that up to hitting the unlock button too quick because I had the same thing happen to me with my 2024 Hemi... like I hit remote start and then unlock as it was starting and it seemed to be the only time I have noticed a CEL on both trucks... not as instant of power as my TRX, definitely notice the turbo lag but its just so comfortable around town and when the turbos kick in it really takes off.. in case anybody is worried about their new truck orders before they get here... I dont regret getting rid of my '24 Hemi what so ever!

same here still loving my 2025 limited, like you my only negative comment on the HO is the noticeable turbo lag. But it really isn't a big deal hardly notice it unless really getting on it. overall, my only other complaint is the Klipsch stereo doesn't match up to the sound quality of the Bose system I had in my Silverado. Ram needs a 5 bar equalizer on this system.

Curious what year your Silverado was, in as far as I’m curious about which Bose system you are benchmarking?

Modern Bose runs the gamut and I recall they made some changes for the 2019+ MY GM trucks which to my ear made a very big difference.

Can any of you guys tell me with key on engine off the voltage you have? Are the numbers displayed in red? Thanks

I had 2 different Silverado's 2018 and 2021 with the Bose system. Both of which were much better sound than my current Ram with the Klipsch system is in my opinion. we also have the Bose system in our 2021 Buick envision. the Klipsch system just doesn't bring the lows out clearly like the Bose system does and if you take it off of surround sound it really misses the beat. now with that being said I believe that if Ram would reconfigure their sound equalizer in the settings to a 5 bar setup and move the Woofer to a better spot like under the seats and away from the back wall of the cab it may substantially improve the sound balance of the system. with the 3 bar equalizer I have to have the bass and treble bars too high for my liking vs the midrange. maybe I am just to picky or used to the Gm Premium sound systems but those things rock and are clear and crisp with sustained midrange in the highs and lows unlike the rams.

Awesome!! Good to know for reference, and appreciate the specifics on the Klipsch. I had such high hopes for it. That is the only feature that I’d consider stepping up to the Tungsten for, so gathering reviews.

I think it’s crazy when manufacturers go to all the licensing and technical trouble with a premium system, only to give it a 2 or 3 band eq.

I was really impressed with the Bose in a 17 Silverado, but then felt it lost its clarity and gained a bunch of distortion in a 19 I looked at but didn’t buy when the current Gen came out. Looked (listened) at multiple trucks on the lot. Maybe it was improved later years.

I think Bose generally does a good job creating very clean sound, and the console location of the sub is better in GM trucks vs on the back wall. Lends a pronounced, tight bass response in all positions but without being boomy.

They usually have good midrange punch and volume too, but not always, such as in my wife’s CX-90 Bose system.

Congrats! I can only imagine how the H.O. feels, the standard output feels much better than my 21 Hemi.
So I think I have a unique perspective on this. I had. 2014 Limited with the Hemi and that thing was solid... I thought it was all the power I would need, then along came my 25 Lonestar with the S.O. and that made me feel like it was indeed punchier than the Hemi and it was super easy to make the rear end come unglued when going through a roundabout... Due to circumstances that arose with my Lonestar I was fortunate enough to be able to get it traded in on a 25 Limited... This past weekend I was on a road trip and came to merge onto a highway from standstill (welcome to Texas where we have intersections on 75 mph highways)... I had no idea how powerful the H.O. was until I found myself fighting to keep it going straight and under 75 mph from a left hand turn when I gave it W.O.T... it's instant.. if there is turbo lag I don't notice it, and it reminds me of my buddy's overseas 2014 V8 Camaro without all the emissions equipment. Just instant power at a blip of throttle in completely stock form.. I can see these trucks pulling sub 5:second 0-60 with the right tires, surfaces and temps. My truck has the 3.92 so I can only imagine what the 3.55 would be like... My 14 had the 3.21, and the Lonestar had the 3.55. But yeah if you get an opportunity to test out an H.O. be careful they are EXTREMELY addictive..

MD just delivered my Tungsten HO and have 150 miles on it so far...Wow...just wow!!!!

Quiet, smooth, insane Power, steering improved over my 2020 Limited, Seats feel wider, deeper and softer, audio and speakers providing massive thump....

I had to already hide the 2nd set of keys from my wife...LOL
