Off Road Springs On Standard Suspension

Anybody put ORP springs on their standard suspension? I see a lot of guys using them with the Mopar lift and sometimes reporting a lousy ride, but haven’t come across anyone that’s simply swapped springs. I’m looking to just swap the front for the 1” to reduce the rake a bit. Basically wondering if the spring rides decent without the off road shocks. If it rides like garage I’ll just go the Bilstein route.

I've been looking at this option also, I've searched the forums but yet to find anyone else that's used this method. I've done spacers and Bilsteins in the past but since I am just wanting to reduce the rake a little and not really looking to level, I'd rather go this route instead of forking out the cash for Bilsteins just to gain an inch lift.

Yes, I've also been thinking about it as well. Would like to lift a little in the front but still maintain some rake.

Found out anymore on this? I called the dealer to order the off road package springs and they're telling me that I will need to purchase the off road shocks as well. From my understanding the shocks are the same length as a non off road package trucks and the springs are what gives them the extra 1" lift but they are saying it's the shocks that give them an extra lift from the factory. I am thinking they have this backwards but trying to verify.

I recall seeing a photo on here somewhere with ORP and non-ORP shocks next to each other with no visible differences. I know others have confirmed the ORP springs are indeed ~3/4” taller than stock. I just worry about the ride paired up with a stock shock. I’m thinking I may just go for it

Exactly what I was thinking also, I knew I had seen a picture of the someone comparing the shocks too. Just wish I could find a before and after of someone doing this, just curious how much a difference it will really make visual wise.

I would be curious to know if they're tuned differently for the different spring length.

I thought the shocks were different part numbers, but could be wrong. I do question if they’re tuned slightly different.

That's what I was wondering. I looked back at the ORP description, it does mention different rear shocks, but not in the front.

ORP front shock: 68404037AD
Non-ORP: 68404036AD

The ORP part number states off-road/North edition in the product description, which leads me to believe it is indeed tuned different, although they look the same

You do anything yet? I have a buddy that has the orp and will be lifting his hopefully soon, he said I could buy his springs since he won’t be reusing them. Figured I’d wait on him, if he takes to much longer though I am just going to go ahead and buy them somewhere else.

I’ve got a set of new orp springs listed in the for sale section on here, $80 shipped for the pair

I drove a non-ORP and ended up with a North Edition. There is a very noticeable visual difference in ride height. There is also a noticeably firmer ride with the North Edition. The shocks on mine are silver in color and look like a premium type shock. They don't look like the standard run-of-the-mill shocks that you normally see on trucks. I don't mind posting part #s off my coils and shocks if anybody needs it.

Here's part numbers off my front and rear shocks, and front and rear coils. This truck has the same part number between left and right side which is not the case on Jeep trucks or Wranglers.

If you have to disassemble the strut assembly either way I would skip the ORP springs and go with the 5100s..... or both. The Factory shocks are not that great. I have the ORP on my Bighorn Night Edition and I will be replacing them
