Off Road Parks and Places to get away.

Enjoyed the annual Poosey Conservation area fall trail drive today. Nothing radical, but got to legitimately use the low range for something other than farm work. The drive is about 1 hour of slow paced service roads.

Really interesting to see the difference in foliage between the wet side and dry side of the mountain

Wow. Beautiful country.

Took her out on the Palomar Divide truck trail Saturday in SoCal. A great trail for me to dip my toes into off-roading. More pics coming...

Here in NE Florida, good trail riding with mud in Osceola National Forest. Take my four wheeler out there too. I have some videos on YouTube, search Hootmo.

Near me we have Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area. Also, a bit farther up in the Sierra's there are a lot of forest service roads you can explore. Some are pretty easy 2wd and some are pretty gnarly. The ultimate is the Rubicon. I would never try that in my brand new Ram. Probably wouldn't even make it very far.

We have a ton of spots here in BC, one of the most popular places is Stave Lake which has some giant mud pits that look like puddles where lots of amateurs wreck their trucks. There is also a ton of logging and forest service roads that we have access to. The campsite I went to last weekend was 12-13km on a logging road to get to.
I live in Coquitlam. is there a group out here you roll with?
