I pulled a tail light out just to make sure I couldn't change any bulbs, and I can't... What have you guys done to address this? It's almost like there's no reverse lights.

Maybe it's me but I can see fine with the camera and the stock led lights. It's not like a floodlight back there but it's ok for me. I saw a thread about some aftermarket lights someone put on their hitch.

I had tint on mine before and when backing up it was anyone’s guess. Took off that tint and back to normal. I’ll wait it out and see what the aftermarket brings to the table.

I mounted 2 4" led pods under the rear bumper and tucked them up so they are mostly hidden. Wired to the trailer reverse lights. MUCH better lighting while reversing

Took TWO minutes, your welcome.
Tailgate light bar
It definitely helps I also have led reverse lights but I still might add a baja designs s2 backup kit and really get light back there. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Reverse light mod
Due to the poor lighting with the LED reverse light, I tried this today and pretty happy with the results. Let me know your thoughts... thanks! I don't plan on towing and if I have to, then it can be easily removed as I have installed quick disconnect connectors on the wires. The hardest part...
LED accessory back up lights?
This is great info. I yell every time i go to back up at night because there is horrible lighting on a 60k truck!! Did you create the connector? I wonder if i can just splice in to the correct with on the back side of the 7 pin plug. That was my plan with a Putco Blade i bought but it will...

Opt7 triple LED light bar fixed it for me. $89 + $25 plug and play wiring harness. If you sign up for the opt7 email list you get a 10% off discount code. There is a string of posts in this forum explaining how to install it.

This fits in the space below the tailgate and doesn’t interfere with opening? Seems like idea location for more light if it doesn’t cause any issues.
