Anyone experience A rattle when hitting bumps on the road? Can’t put my finger on it but it sounds like it’s coming from the passenger rear side of the cab. Thought it might have been seat belts but I ruled that out. Any advice?

Lift the rear seat. Look in the center of the truck thru the hole in the carpet at the low back wall of the truck. There is a small rectangular electronic device with LF on it that is loosely attached. Stick a piece of felt or similar behind it so it cannot rattle on the back wall.

Hi Fourtytee,
We understand why this may be frustrating. If you decide to have your dealer address this, please send our team a private message and we would be happy to add an additional layer of assistance to this process.

Could be from the headliner, especially if you have the premium audio with speakers in the rear of it. The mount for me speakers keep bumping other parts inside of the headliner. There isn’t much clearance.

I have the same annoying *** rattle from the passenger rear. I've taken everything out of the back of the megacab. Using my stethoscope, the noise is definitely coming from under the truck, being transmitted to the floor. If you have seen my past postings with the failed trips to the fraudulent Dwayne Lane's in Everett, you'll see where they tried to fix it. My suspicion is that the noise is from the "new" rear cab mount, which isn't a carryover from the 18 model. At least so I'm told. The dealer actually put down, on my repair order, that the rattle in my truck is a characteristic of the vehicle!!!! Talk about some horrible customer service, let alone the ding-dong that tried to fix it. Ram care is absolutely useless. They cannot, and will not enforce any issue at the dealer level. I've been told that since the dealer bought the truck from the factory, they are the customer and therefore I have to work with them to resolve any issues. I've been told that by 2 high level case managers. If I had the desire, I would lift the body up, remove the suspected mount and drive it. I'm guessing the mechanic didn't think that through. Instead, they put over 40 miles on my truck in the 3 weeks they worked on it (stared at it) and handed me back the same rattle. I've described it as sounding like a loose bolt in a hole, shifting shock mount, or golf ball in a plastic jug. Either one makes it extremely annoying. FU Dwayne Lane.

I am similar sound beginning after about 3 much and it continued to get worse. Brought it in and there was something loose underneath on the frame. Sorry but I can't remember exactly what it was.

Hi Nearscratchgolfer,
I understand your frustration with this. I would like to take some time to help you get this addressed. Have you considered visiting a different dealer to get a second opinion? If so, you can enter your zip code here to view all certified Ram dealerships in your area: https://www.ramtrucks.com/find-dealer.html. If you see any dealerships that have received a Customer First award this means that this dealer has achieved the highest level of customer experience recognition in five core areas: people, facility, processes, customer metrics and training certification. We're available via private message to discuss this concern further.

I just made a post because my truck is doing this. It is driving me bat chit crazy. Been there since I drove off lot. 14,000 miles later still there, along with many many mannnyyyyy more issues. I am going to tear the interior out myself a piece at a time until I locate it.

If you have a sunroof its also possible it's the headliner clips (they rattle and need a bit of foam)..

I just traded in my "old" 2019 with the rattle, for a "new" 2019 megacab. Same truck, in design, same F"N rattle in the new new one. I bought a set of chassis ears from amazon, so I guess it's up to me to fix the warranty issue. Oh, and my right hand air bag (suspension bag) was folded in half, ready to explode from the factory. Owned it now 4 days. At the dealer for 3 so far. Great start. I'm not giving up though. I love the truck. If, no... when I find the source of the rattle, I'll let everyone know.

Anybody make any more progress on these issues? For the cab mounts was it a pretty loud noise?

I’m getting noise more from the sound system. Back of the cab rattles. I lowered the bass significantly. Can anyone give instructions on how to access the back of the rear seats? I’m assuming that is where the subwoofer is...

Do you have a rear sliding window? My rattle was coming from the sliding glass being loose in the tracks. I had it replaced and it's all good now.

To drop the rear seats, you will have to find a thin string to pull to release the latch that is in the center of the seat backs. There's one on each seat back. Mine has the 40/20/40 split rear seat backs.

Near scratch golfer I believe in another thread u found the problem can u repost here or send the link to the tread?

I have the same exact problem. I live in Bellingham, WA and visited Rairdon's Dodge of Bellingham. Same exact experience as yours. The tech immediately laughed at me and said this was "normal" on all 2500 RAMs. He said he would look into it. Drove it .2 miles and stated that he "Couldn't Replicate Issue". This rattle is really starting to get on my nerves. So bad around town on rough roads.

The rattles sound in mine is from these bolt, there is a washer in each bolt so they making really loud noise whenever I'm go over a bump.
