Bought a new Chevy 4x K10 in 1979 for $7500. At the time I was making $13K annually, so about 58% of my pay. Now I make about $50K annually so I could have a what, $29K truck and be even,..
I understand about inflation but its the un-necessary, bloated options and tech that have driven the prices up so high. Government mandated safety has also added to it, 20 airbags and so many sensors...
Something "simple" with 2 airbags and a crush zone can't cost that much to engineer. Course the hp and tq race, which is ridiculous, has also cost us plenty more. Same with 10 speed transmissions.
I've written before how my 1970's and 1980's trucks got 15 mpg highway. My 2023 gets 20.

Pansy consumers ruined vehicles. Even the great spartan Jeep that dominated the off road world have become 4 door soccer mom vehicles. They even have power windows now! The pickup oftoday isn't a truck but rather a kid pickup vehicle. Make the little buggars walk to soccer practice. Hump thier gearing a pack. It'll help build character.

They can finally report the truth, what we've all known for years. Joe's mind is shot. Now the only question left is one we may not get an answer to. Who was actually running the country during this time? Many think it was Obama. I feel he may have been another talking head getting orders from the real puppet masters. Whoever it really was needs to be tried for treason , but we know it'll never happen.
Buckle up and enjoy the next four years, it's going to be wild ride rooting out the deep state.
