Look, I've never been a "new vehicle" kind of person, and definitely not a new truck person, so finding myself here is a bit of a surprise.
Personally, I feel like a few decades ago, all trucks started to get ugly and never recovered. First went Dodge (post-sweptline) then Ford (post 1979) and finally Chevy (after the square body). So I rode around in hand-me-down cars forever since I couldn't bring myself to even consider a new truck.

But after suffering in uncomfortable cars/trucks for decades, all in the name of style, I figured it was time to see what was out there... and maybe even get something with Air Conditioning!
When I stuck my peepers out there and really started to look, the Rams were hands-down the best looking trucks I'd seen in a long time. From the "classic" tough truck look, to the more elegant 1500 Laramie and limited, there was so much to like. But would I fit in one? I'm 6'6" and my son is even taller. Basically I have a large family and I thought getting a truck meant someone was gonna have to ride in the bed on long trips. Wow, was I wrong. This 5th Gen Ram was the most comfortable vehicle I have ever sat in, car or truck. And the backseat of the Crew cab is more roomy than the front! Then add a V8 that gets 17-18mpg on a daily commute? Sold!

With the shortage of inventory out there right now, I was super lucky to find a low-mileage certified used 2019 with a month of base warranty left. So far, love it. Feels huge, feels comfortable, and is a great looking truck. Best of all it has A/C!

Looking forward to sharing and learning and having fun here.

Congratulations - another person with great taste in colors ;)
wow, you got all the options I wanted but couldn't find. It took three months to get that custom ordered?

Welcome and Congratulations!!

Welcome from the great sovereign state of Arkansas!

My family is mostly large folks too. The new Ram is definitely the way to go. Congratulations!

Yes, ordered on 4/16, arrived at dealer on 7/23 and took another month to get to me in Los Angeles. But it was worth the wait!

Welcome and congrats!

Congrats on the "new" truck, and welcome to the forum!
