No start, needed towed to dealer. Any suggestion would be helpful.

I am having the same issue 2019 Ram Rebel. My truck would not start the day before thanksgiving. I jumped it off and drove it to the dealer and left it. It sat until the day after thanksgiving and fired right up and had no issues at all. They could not find any issues at all. Everything has been fine until this morning and once again the battery was dead. Had to jump it off and back to the dealer it went. I sure hope they get this figured out because with a truck that has 8K miles on it, I am not happy!!!!!
I wouldn't try to jump the truck. If it's possible, I'd have the dealer tow the truck back to the shop so they can witness the not starting issue themselves. A busy shop/lazy tech might just say, "It starts" and leave it at that, without actually trying to troubleshoot it.
 
It was towed on the 6th to the dealer still there today no word on it. And no I won't jump start anymore. Jumpstart my tractor cost $989.00 to repair.
Keep on them. It shouldn't be taking that long to troubleshoot.

Worried if I nagged it would rush to judgment. Then not know specific cause. Concerned that for next month I have to use a parking garage. Can you imagine dragging a Ram CC out of those low and narrow spaces. After this month I'll be able to allow for a roll back.
Also I've had Mopar cares email me to elivate to next level. Not sure what that entails.
 
I had an issue of a dead truck this morning. Bought the truck on 11/22/19, was a demo with 5,000 miles on it, and had been sitting in the showroom floor. Build date is 2/2019.

Today, 12/12/19, went to remote start the truck and nothing happened. Unlock it with remote, nothing. Tried to use the manual key to unlock it, key won't turn. Tried this process probably 20 times, with both key fobs, and could never get into the truck. I called the dealer, and they said to get a tow truck and bring it in. As soon as the tow truck driver arrives, I go to show him that it won't unlock and open, and when I try to put the key in the door, it finally unlocks. Get inside and find the truck completely dead. Tow truck driver jumped me off and we got it started, but the screen wasn't working at all. Drove it straight to the dealer where they have had it all day today.

I spoke to the dealer about an hour ago, and they said the battery is completely dead, but they are having to run it through a machine that charges it completely up, then checks for warranty codes so they can tell what went wrong with it to submit it for a warranty claim. When I talked to them the "machine still had 1.5 hours left to run."

The reason for the dead battery that was given to me is that since the truck sat on the showroom floor for a while, the battery must have gotten weak and may have damaged the battery. Then the cold temperatures here last night (in the single digits, in Michigan), it must have been enough to fully kill the battery. Not sure if I believe this reason or not, and not sure why it would take a full day to check and replace the battery.

I'll update (hopefully tomorrow) on what the outcome of mine is.

All led should not pull you battery down. My 2014 had original battery when I traded. I played radio all the time in accessories mode.
Could it be the side steps?

Also anyone reading? What about a Jumpstart pack, say 2000 amp. carry it for emergencies.

When I talked to my service department at the end of the day yesterday, they said the battery checked out as still good, but was completely dead. So they have recharged it fully.

They did say that there was something else wrong, but I didn't catch what he said (something about a fuse issue?) I'll verify today exactly what it was they found, and ask if that played a part in the completely dead battery. They are suppose to have the part for whatever the issue is this morning, so I should be able to pick it up today.

I'll update once I know the specific part they had to replace, and if they believe this is the cause of the dead battery.

I have not read unless missed anyone having the loud snap/crack under the dash upper left side when pushing the start button
I didn't hear any loud snap or crack under the dash on mine when it was dead.

So tonight I got back from a trip, parked in airport parking 4 days and 6 hours, truck "started weird" - message came on to Service Electronic Stability Control, ESC light also on - drove a couple blocks, truck wouldn't shift out of first gear. Pulled over, turned truck off, started again, same behavior. Called roadside assistance, had truck towed to dealer and got a loaner - have to go back out of town day after tomorrow and truck will be parked for longer - I'll see if they figure anything out tomorrow, but guessing not until I'm back in town...

Pulled over, turned truck off, started again, same behavior. Called roadside assistance, had truck towed to dealer and got a loaner - have to go back out of town day after tomorrow and truck will be parked for longer - I'll see if they figure anything out tomorrow, but guessing not until I'm back in town...
Also, I have to say - I called my dealer, service department was already closed, which I knew, I asked to speak to the sales manager - he got me in touch with roadside assistance, waited for me with the gates open for over an hour past when the SALES department was supposed to close, for my truck to be towed to the dealership, set me up with a loaner vehicle, AND the kid who brought the loaner out after gassing it up helped me move two 85lb (each) roller cases from my truck to the loaner. I couldn't have asked for any better "service" from a sales department. Above and beyond!
 
Not to start a Best Service hijack. Over the years I have left GMC because quality of service. Went to 2008 Ram, not bad service nothing major on warranty, traded 2014, not bad service until Head unit was producing a trouble code for Phone. Same dealer could duplicate problem. Went to different dealer, replaced head unit in two days. Fixed problem. That service got the business for my 2019 purchase. Now there service isn't bad, but its the typical, so busy even oil changes are a week wait. Always signs HIRING TECH. Typical big business the fail to retain quality techs with thinking there are plenty people out there to hire. There are some great Dealers out there.

So, in my case, they said the battery checked out ok, but they're replacing the valve body... So I'll continue my discussion in an appropriate thread, and if I find out anything related to this one, I'll post it back here.

One key issue with mine was the Step sides not working but power to all other devices. Reading on general sites of Not Starting issue with Ram trucks. Evidently there is a Safe Protection option that is suppose to Pop up on Dash display. Noted is operational manual. (your truck is running in battery saver mode) or something like that. Also there is a level of battery charge that stops most functions, one is starting. It did not look like the drop was that much like between .5 and 1 volt to affect instability of electrical functions. These leads me to believe a better after market battery may be warranted. After a parasitic draw test is done. Regardless of what dealer finds wrong, I'm ready to conduct this test at home.

Same exect issue for my 2019 Long horn. Said battery proved good to go but was seriously depleted. I have zero aftermarket electronics and only hint I found is that remote start shows the voltmeter at 11.8 - 12.0 v. When I enter the truck and press on the start button while its in remote start mode the voltmeter gradually progresses up to 14.5 v.

I’m experiencing similar issue. Came back from 4 day trip at 12:30am at airport parking lot. All electronics, lights worked but the start button wouldn’t come out of the off position. Tried to use a battery power starter and that didn’t do anything. Tried jumper cables and it started. There must be a threshold of voltage where it won’t even attempt to start.

Drove the truck all the next day with lots of stops fine.

Then truck sat for about 36 hrs and it’s showing same symptoms. I haven’t tried to jump yet.

One thing I noticed is in both instances I was using the remote start where it wouldn’t start.

Trucks about 15 months old with 32k mikes. I guess I’ll get the battery tested as a starting point.
