Well after 1.5 years without any major issues one showed up. Button to start worked through the sequence but would not start. Tried maybe ten times. The Dash display showed systems checks, mileage, speedometer lighting, etc.
Symptom 1. Heard a loud snap under dash kind of to the left side, almost like a stone hit the windshield. This snap only sounded maybe 4 times out off the ten or so times attempted to start.
Symptom 2. Automatic Running board do not operate.
Symptom 3. Pushing the start switch sounds like it makes contact. No Starter engagement.
Symptom 4. Lights and all accessories work. Seems to have Full power from battery.

Lots of fun getting truck into neutral, for alignment to be pulled onto flattop tow truck.

Let the dealer diagnose and repair it? Not sure what other suggestions there would be at this stage. Now, when or if they are unable to fix it, that's when the fun starts.

Did you try removing the negative battery cable for about 15 mins and then reconnect, rebooting systems?? Worth a shot - May not have solved the issue but the neg. battery removal thing is the equivalent of the "Ctrl/Alt/Delete" reset for PCs (and our trucks, just like every other new veh. today, are really just one big moving PC on 4 wheels).

Dealer started troubleshooting the truck this afternoon. Evidently when they looked it over this morning, after dropping it off last night, truck was dead. Something drained the battery. They got it started and battery charged. Battery apparently check out ok. Tech said he got some sensor codes but would be next week before a solution. Gave me a loaner (2019 classic) and said they'd call when they figured it out and repaired it.

Sounds like, given the 1.5 year figure you gave, that this is an early build truck. One important question that may lead you down the right path....did you ever have a water infiltration/leak issue? If so, that could be a contributing factor.....sometimes it takes a while for corrosion, interference, etc. issues due to a previous water leak to start rearing its ugly head in electrical problems.

Had a couple nationwide recalls, brake pedal, grounding at battery. Had center console lid replaced because of squeak. Other than that it provide reliable transportation. No issues like alot reported here. I almost expected them since it was one of the first out the gate. I watched the center brake light for leaks alot of folks reported. But proved water tight. LED light in glove box wasn't present and dealer installed it. It is garage keep so no outside storage. Dealer said next week before solution. I hope it's a conclusive solution. Not a "Well we think we found the problem ".

I had a similar issue. After sitting in my garage for a week, the front air suspension lowered, and the truck was completely dead. Although it wouldn't jump start, after charging for 6 hours, it started but was in entry/exit height and wouldn't raise stating the "air suspension needed to cool down". After a 4 day dealer trip, they verified there were codes related to the charging system but could find no specific issue.

This is in addition to the week it was in the shop for a warm A/C problem that was verified by the dealer, but after replacing several parts - including the compressor, it remains and will go back in for further evaluation next summer.

I had a no start start issue with the loud pop. Ultimately it was the battery was too low to crank the starter. It was very deceiving as everything looked good on the dash but the only indication the voltage was bad is that the running boards would not deploy. That was 6 months ago. Never figured out what drained the battery but all has been fine since.

That is exactly what happed. Running boards did not deploy or retack. All lighting display and accessories was visible. Start button didn't work, snap under dash, running boards dead.
Dealer hasn't called yet. Day 1.

I had a similar issue, was the battery. They did some "super charge" to it and it's been fine ever since. I never heard the snap, but had a dead truck a few mornings in a row.

I am having the same issue 2019 Ram Rebel. My truck would not start the day before thanksgiving. I jumped it off and drove it to the dealer and left it. It sat until the day after thanksgiving and fired right up and had no issues at all. They could not find any issues at all. Everything has been fine until this morning and once again the battery was dead. Had to jump it off and back to the dealer it went. I sure hope they get this figured out because with a truck that has 8K miles on it, I am not happy!!!!!

I thought I saw in the past that people thought it was the air suspension constantly trying to level itself while parked (or something to that effect) that was killing the battery?

No air suspension on my truck. Only thing that would work the battery is doors open close, side steps deploy and retract. Other than that all pretty much shuts off like 30 seconds. Other than a couple bulbs pretty much LED. I would think radio would drain while in accessories mode. I've had it on before. Truck 1.5 years with 22k

I had this when truck would not start. They replaced faulty battery about three weeks ago. No issues since.
Hope they get it fixed and out the door soon.

I wonder why all lights worked only stepsides and start didn't. So we have to worry when batteries are not fully charged? How do you prepare or antispate battery failing.
Buy new battery annually?

Full led option you would think they battery would have as much more stable. I wonder if steps pulled the battery down over year and half. If you think about it truck pretty much is off during step activation.
