So I disconnected the battery on my 2020 Ram 1500 Big horn. Now I don't have my backup camera, no brake service option, or control to my ac/heater. I try to turn it up or down from the turn knob but nothing. When I do it in the climate screen it goes right back down to LO. I've tried every reset as well leaving the battery disconnected. Any ideas out there? Let me know.

I stated on here many times, you have to wait a little bit after you disconnect the battery for everything to come back. It sometimes can take up to 6 hours.

God dang! That seems like a flaw. Seriously, I've never had that issue with any other vehicle. I called my local Ram and the tech stated 30 minutes, and if that doesn't do it I'll have to take it in for them to reset via the computer. Just seems a little nuts, especially if this would happen every time.

So as you stated could take up to six hours. Is that just hooking it back up and waiting, or leaving it disconnected?

That seems to be a thing with the Uconnect system. Once re-connected, it can take several hours for everything to come back online. The time to disconnect depends on who you ask, most say 1 minute up to 30 minutes. Once you disconnect the battery, I open the car door, if the doom light stays off, then you should be good to go to reconnect.

The wait for everything to come back online is ridiculous I agree, but nothing to keep you from driving right away, just not all the gadget working.

It's just an issue with modern vehicles. There's not one Central Computer anymore that controls everything. It's a bunch of smaller networked computers. So once you reconnect the battery everything has to sync back up again.

I have same problem. Should I wait till the dome light is out before I reconnect? Side note, the experts are the best for helping us with these issues, so grateful.
