New wheels with paint chip on inside

Just received my new wheels and tires from custom offsets. After unpacking I did a thorough inspection and found a paint chip/defect on the inside barrel of 1 wheel and a few other small scuffs on the inside lips on two or more tires.

They came with tires mounted and balanced so I assume this is when the damage occurred. I plan on making a claim but how worried should I be about this? Should I demand a replacement? The faces of the wheels all look pretty perfect. Will the chip cause an issue?

I would not want a chip. I know you want to mount those suckas but take the extra time and get it replaced. You'll be happier in the long run. Especially if something does evolve from the minor damage.

My opinion. Good luck!

...How bout some full body shots of those new rims?

No I agree. After second inspection in the daytime today I found scratches on the inside of the other 3 wheels plus the chipped one. All 4 are damaged. And im not talking scuffs the scratches have aluminum showing. I assume it happened while either mounting tires or balancing.
After about 5 mins of thought I would rather go ahead and file the claim and get what I paid for even if it takes more time. I will say so far Custom Offsets have responded in a timely manner. They are working on negotiating a resolution with me.

Pic of the front facing side attached. Enjoy

Those are sweet. Glad to hear they're taking care of you. I recently got new tires and they lightly scratched my rim on install. Never noticed until the next wash.
