I just noticed that there is a new menu item in the 12" screen with the last software update. It has a function for setting 4 auxillary switches, and it has power options and type to set..... Anyone configured these yet or know the scoop on the details?

Wow that looks like the shy right there. Let’s see what’s needed to tap into but that’s awesome

They aren't selectable.... yet. More information will be needed to use and configure. I wonder if there is a software release notes for the 12" screen posted somewhere?

That's probably for the 2500s and up, what they call the Upfitter package. There would have to be a power distribution center somewhere under the hood with the necessary electronics and relays to connect the loads onto otherwise the touchscreen is just sending a message along the communications bus to nobody.

I bought my 2019 Ram Limited in December 2018, and I've "never" seen an update. Am I missing something? Is there there something I'm not doing right?

I called FCA and they stated that there is an update for the 12" radio unit that fixes several "bugs". The Service Bulletin is: 08-009-19Rev.B It has to be done by the dealer...no OTA. Called the dealer and they confirmed.

Mine is having it done, along with an oil change and tire rotation, early Monday morning. It will update it to 18.45.40 from 18.27.17

Please post results of software update as soon as possible. My truck goes in Wednesday and should get update, but I have not had any issues and really don’t want the update if it causes some.

Just had the update done and now running the latest software. No issues with what I have seen thus far. I see no reason not to get it.

Anyone know if these touch screen auxiliary switches actually end up working on the ram 1500?
