Makes me wonder what's different with the 6.4 HD engine as they could possibly never see MDS activate depending on usage.

I just changed mine at 8,000KM. I'll probably continue to change it every 8,000KM.

The 8000KM is roughly 5000K miles, and as of now I think I'll do the same with first change at 5K miles and 7500 miles going forward.

It was only $150 to change the oil with synthetic and a tire rotation at the dealership. I used to pay $250 for an oil change on my Mercedes GL450.
