I'm pretty excited. As a 43 year old, this is not only the first vehicle I've ever ordered, but its the first NEW vehicle I've ever purchased. I usually buy pre-owned cars/trucks/bikes.

I spent a month researching what I wanted and trying to find a good low mileage 2021 or a 2022 with all the options I wanted. I was willing to fly across the country to get one. I just couldn't find one that wasn't sold by the time I found it. (most didn't have every option I wanted) So, I came across people talking about ordering from MD and low an behold they were RIGHT. Originally, I wanted everything on the truck, but by the time I ordered, I decided to hold off on the Tow group and the 360 trailer camera system to save a few bucks. Anyhow, It was ordered on 4/1 and I'm hoping to get it by June 10th. The wife and I live 150 Miles away so it wouldn't make for a bad weekend to shoot over, have a weekend at the Casino and come home with a new truck. ;) How long does it take to start getting information on the VIN and build date etc? What should I be doing in preparation? (besides looking for mods already lol)

On MD - Most dealers wanted MSRP or OVER! (I found a USED 2022 with everything that I wanted and it had 500 miles on it. They were FIRM at $5,000 OVER MSRP. I laughed and hung up. My local dealer who I have a connection with could only come off MSRP by 5k. MD came off 10K! I see myself buying another vehicle from them in the future. Glad I found this forum and the information on MD.

Thanks!

Same boat as you. Sent my build to about 10 different dealers in my area, several told me they wouldn’t discuss price unless I came in. Several never got back to me once they realized I wanted a custom order with the best price. The last few told me the price would be MSRP and that all incentives and rebates wouldn’t be known until delivery. MD came back with just over 11% under msrp. Not including any rebates or incentives which won’t be known until closer to vehicle delivery. Pulling the plug on that deal. Hoping to have the order placed by today or tomorrow.

I got a VIN a day or so later. Past weekend may have delayed yours a few days. Nice looking build! Congratulations!
And make sure you put your VIN in the forum tracker when you get it.

I ordered a truck similar to yours (mine is pearl white and no night edition, but otherwise exactly the same) from MD on 3/23. Hopefully I'll get it in the next 2 months. That would be nice. It seems like a crapshoot with regard to the timing.

Yeah, I think I was quoted 6 weeks to 6 months. lol Either way, I understand the problems getting materials as I too am in sales and dealing with it. I'll be patient for the price!

LOL! Easier said than done!! If you are anything like me, I was on this forum several times a day checking even when I knew tracking updates were only posted daily :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: And if you have a safe, put your wallet in there and don't take it out until your truck gets in. This forum has cost me a fortune!!

Nice build. Looks to be identical to mine other than the color. You're gonna love it. I hope your wait is as short as possible. Congratulations on ordering your first brand new vehicle!

Ordered 4/1 and got a VIN today!
D1
4/29 build date!
How long does it actually take for them to place the order? I guess I was under the impression that I paid the deposit first and then they placed the order but Renae said once they place the order then that’s when they send me the information to send the deposit. I just sent over copies of my license and credit score this morning to her.

Wired the $1000 and I assume they ordered the same day or the next.

add another 14 or 15..... PLUS TTL
I recently checked how much my build would cost if I configured a '22 model. MSRP on my '21 Limited was just over $75k. The same build on a '22 Limited is a little over $79k. Can't tell you how happy I am that I bought when I did, instead of waiting a year like I was thinking of doing. I also noticed that trade-in values on trucks are on the decline with the gas prices so high.

Not at MD, try about another 7-8. My quote 2 mos ago for a limited was 63.5k... Limited L1, 4x4, pretty loaded. There's more margin and greater savings in the higher trims I believe.
