Hey all - new to Ram's but well versed in trucks and forums. My last two vehicles were tacomas (2010, and 2017), but finally needed something with some towing capacity. Bought a silver 2020 Ram 1500 big horn with the midnight package and 3.92 rear end last fall and am slowly getting used to the differences between my old mid size trucks and this giant ram. The size has been both a blessing and a curse so far. I can fit 2 kid seats plus the dog in the back seat now, but downtown Minneapolis parking ramps are a nightmare. The power this thing has is ridiculous, I have added 2 cylinders to each truck I have bought (started with a 4 cylinder stick shift tacoma, then a v6 auto, and now this ridiculous 5.7 e-torque, and add the upgraded rear end and now im going to need to increase my tire budget).

Im sure ill be doing some minor modifications soon, debadged it the moment it came home, got a soft tonneau on it. Looking for some good options for bed tie downs and roof racks for canoe hauling. (I cant believe some of the differences between the tacoma and the ram when it comes to utility, so far, the tacoma was much more user friendly when it comes to using the truck bed). Also definitely need to upgrade to AT tires soon. If anyone has any recommendations for what fits well on these 20

I also just started to get a good brake howling sound when backing out of the garage in the morning. From searching, it seems like a pretty common problem that Dodge has a fix for, hopefully it's just a one off thing, I was spoiled with my Tacoma's never needing maintenance, this is the first non-toyota I have owned in over 15 years, we'll see how it goes.

Mine does that brake howling when backing out of the garage after sitting all night. Only when it's cold outside though. I'm not worried about it. Doesn't effect anything & I hear the dealerships are really backed up right now so no point in bringing it in. Maybe down the road I'll bring it in for that.

Welcome to the forum and to Ram. These are great trucks. Not much you can do about the parking garage issue though

Hello @Brow and congratulations on your new Ram ownership! Yes, there is a current TSB available that directly addressed and resolved your brake concerns. At any point when you decide to address this with your Ram dealer, our team is just a private message away and more than willing to escalate a case on your behalf to a specialist for further support through that process. We are happy to help!
