Wonder what it means for the brand going forward. Will he bring back the Hemi ?

One can only hope!

Well, I hope he doesn't bring back the same Hemi we've had for so many years now. There's no reason we can't have a new Hemi. There's no reason the 5.7L should be getting 13-15mpg in 2024. Technology has proven that the V8 can do so much better, so a new Hemi design that gets low 20's would be awesome.

I hope we see a return to the ICE and the drive to EV is over.

It would need to be a new Hemi unless Stellantis wants to buy more carbon credits from Telsa, but then again we have a new administration so who knows.

Keep the current Hemi as an mid-level engine option, fix the issues with the Hurricane, keep them as the higher powered options similar, to Fords powertrain strategy.

Streamline and improve customer service experience, add more built in incentives and discounts to trucks to lower prices. Get volume and quality back up.

For the first time in 10 years I am looking at other brands for my next truck. That bothers me. Now I feel like I will wait a little longer and see if anything changes. The other brands seem to have issues also. Really like the Denali Ultimate, but worried about the brands transmission , and heard about comfort, although I haven't test driven one yet.
My current Ram is in shop for front end work and waiting a week so far with no news about when some parts are going to be in. Extremely frustrated. Thank God for the extended warranty, it really paid off. They have no idea when fox 2.0 shocks will be in. I may just pay for Bilsteins just to get it over with.

Me too; I've been buying RAMs since my first one in 2013. The service on my 2015 with the drag link crap and the latest on my 2022 with the EPS system have me concerned. They would not put me in a loaner (just on a list for the next available) even though my MaxCare covered it. They had my 2022 for 8 days. The famous could not duplicate was noted, yet they didn't even try to duplicate the issue. The EPS goes out after a car wash. Sounds like water intrusion. Nevertheless, it still isn't fixed.

I'm looking into a GMC Denali 3500 Duramax to replace my 2015. It may be subjective, but the GMC falls short in terms of driver comfort. The seating is the leading cause; they really need to go back to seating like they had from 2003 through 2007. The girth on the steering wheel was another issue, but the good news is the 2025 has fixed that.

I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I'm waiting for my dealer to get in a 2025 3500 so I can get the "feel."

I definitely will not buy a first year with the engine change. I MAY buy the second year if at all. Have the same issue with no loaner vehicle, had to rent from Hertz since I was 100 miles from home. And now they cant get parts with no idea of when they will get them. It's crazy, they told me they can do all the work except the shocks and bring it back in when they get them. But I had to pay out of pocket like $1800. I almost choked right before I laughed. Then he said I can take it back and bring it back in when all the parts come in. Like $8000 repair total. I said if I do that I will bring it closer to home. He said let me get back you. Still waiting for a call. We will see how much they want to lose the repair. Just crazy

Me too on the 25 3500. I’m actually looking at gas 3500. Have you talked with any dealers on orders, discounts, etc?

I would bet a small amount of money…mostly because I don’t gamble.. that you won’t see a new Hemi or V8 from new RAM leadership.
We’re only pushing the EV and hybrid trucks a little further into the future with the new administration coming in.
Trends are smaller motors, turbo charged.

That being said… and to be clear… I’m a fan of the hemi and hope I’m wrong. But there’s a difference between what I’d like to see, vs. reality…. Reality usually wins LOL

I'll honestly be happy if they can just fix the issues with the 2025 trucks and have a good working service network that cares, actually returns phone calls and isn't waiting weeks or months for parts.

These new trucks scare me, spending 70K for something that is buggy and a service network that doesn't seem capable of handling it, at least right now is why for the first time in a couple of decades I own a primary vehicle that is over 4 years old.

I may own this thing long enough to finally require my first smog test in California (for something I bought new), which is 8 years old.

I would love to see a new V8 as well but if that doesn’t happen at least make the Hurricane HO an option on lower trims and especially mandatory in the GT.

Honestly I don’t think the V8 is dead forever. Stellantis just dropped the ball and failed to develop one only due to poor leadership decisions. That was a serious miscalculation and they’re paying for it now. Hopefully they now change course and get back on track. At least that’s my hope.

Kuniskis added a lot of excitement to the Dodge and RAM brands in the past so I expect more of this. I highly doubt he came out of retirement only to continue the same direction RAM was going this past year. Guessing he has a vision and only agreed to come back if he could implement that. I fully expect some exciting news this coming year.

That is the first thing I tell them: what I will pay. It doesn't seem difficult to get grand off invoice pricing right now. That is what I offered, and they didn't blink. It was the same deal I made to the Ford dealer for my wife's Bronco, which they happily accepted.

The HEMI definitely has 'loyalty' from a group, unfortunately they don't buy a lot of the trucks - one of many reasons RAM sales are so low comparatively. Interesting though to see a list of the currently available V8s which are either matched or massively outperformed by a I6TT (save some diesels). IMHO this eventually becomes the "why doesn't it come with a manual too" debate - there simply aren't enough buyers.

All those people were the same ones there for years while the RAM stagnated sales. So, take that for what it is worth.

Ram sales were excellent in 2019+, they slowed down when the prices were enough to bankrupt you in the last year or two. The low sales had 0 to do with the hemi itself.

RAM had great sales up until around mid 2022, they pushed the facelift almost 2-3 years but still found the time to raise prices.
