OK so I bought a new 2019 Laramie . Did not get the 12" screen but chose the smaller screen. Sometimes I can pick a station up clear as a bell and when I shut the truck off and start back up the signal strength just keeps going in and out. I can find another station that picks up well but doesn't sound right at all. Anybody else having these issues and know of a fix?

Hello ScooterB,

I am terribly sorry to hear you're having such a tough time with your new Ram. Are you planning on making your dealer aware? Send me a direct message if you'd like to discuss your thoughts and next best steps.

Yea they told me Chrysler was aware and should have a patch/fix by the end of the quarter.

Same problem here. Sometimes, the auto search just goes around and around without stopping. Some forums suggest poor factory grounds in the electrical system. Any idea on how we will know when there is a fix?

I might be out of my mind, but I may be on to something here. Has anyone else noticed that sometimes when they start the truck, the uconnect / radio start right up and sometimes they take up to 15 seconds or so? It seems on mine that when it starts right up, I get great reception, even getting stations that are very far away. When it takes a long time to kick on, I get no stations or almost no stations. Anyone else notice this, or have I lost it completely? Also, I mentioned it to the service manager and he said he had never heard of this problem.

I have the same problem. I found that if I cycle through the audio options quickly (AM, FM, SIRIS) and then go back to FM, it fixes itself. Pretty annoying.

Hello

I have the same issue with mine since a day old. Dealer has been working on it with no success. Changed the amplifier 2 days ago but today the same thing.
GOING BACK TO DEALER!!!!!!

Dealer has an update for the radio now. I’m getting mine done this afternoon. Will keep you posted.

So update wouldn’t take. But hey now my lights are all jacked up.

well amplifier didn't work on mine so dealer is ordering a new antennae. See what happens with that!!!!

I just bought my this past Saturday and started having this exact same issue with it today! I’m planning on taking mine into the dealership next week. Keep us updated on the outcome, I hope the antennae switch works!

When mine acts up, I flip it to am and back quickly. Fixes the problem every time. Try it and then you can show the dealer.

Finally got a new radio radio ordered today. Along with the different brake pads.

Any updates? I have been having the same issue but have not had a chance to take it to the dealer. Has anyone had success with the software update mentioned above?

They tried several different times to do the update but couldn't get past 75%. They ordered me another radio on Monday and said it would take at least a week to get it in.

my radio goes in and out constantly since day 1 also. I just listen to Pandora so I haven't even bothered to get it looked at.

I've been waiting on the dealer to get back with me about my issue. He said he was ordering a new antennae 3+ weeks ago but haven't herd from him or he isn't returning my calls !!! Go figure!!! Guess there waiting on the manufacture to issue a update.. And I don't think they take it serious since it's just the radio... But a everything should work on a Brand new truck !!!!!

OK so last Friday 19 Oct the dealer put in a new radio and new brake pads (mine were squeaking real bad). Thought that fixed the problem. Seemed to work fine then went back to what it was doing. Called Chrysler today and made a formal complaint. They are supposed to get back with me tomorrow 23 Oct. Guess I'll have to wait and see what happens now.
