The issues with this truck are becoming absolutely ridiculous. Now after a year and a half of owning this truck and the laundry list of issues it has had and still has. I can add another huge one! Now for the second time today the whole infotainment system has gone haywire while driving. This has locked my windows up so I can't roll them down, turns the heat on full blast defrost, and renders the radio useless. Makes the 40 min drive home from work absolute misery. Oh and not to mention the dash constantly dings and says "blind spot monitoring is unavailable, need to service."

wow..that's brutal! Still under B to B warranty mileage?

Yes. Unfortunately the dealership hasn't been great so far with getting me taken care of. They have now given my rear brake calipers away twice now. And I have been trying to get my steering wheel replaced for almost 8 months now.

Those electronic, seemingly random gremlins are very often caused by poor ground connections. Techs at my dealer are well aware of those problems and it's the first thing they check when someone complains about electronics. They say about 80% of those issues are easily fixed by cleaning and / or tightening ground connections, especially in earlier builds. Maybe you should mention that to your dealer. Main ground connections under the hood, driver's side fender above and behind the headlamp are known for being unreliable out of the factory. Apparently some genius (or team of geniuses) there has been installing those harnesses over the body paint (!). My tech said a scraper, a wire brush and some electrical contact grease can do miracles in these trucks...

+1. One of the first things I did when I bought mine was to get the paint off those ground connections in the engine compartment.
The one just behind the battery was the subject of a recall (Safety Recall 04).
And Safety Recall 17 is for a ground fastener for the 48-volt battery on the rear cabin bulkhead behind the back seats on e-torque equipped vehicles.

Check all your grounds.

If you haven’t already. Get with Ram cares. Is it the over night fix, no. Makes dealing with the issues and getting them resolved much quicker once they see the paperwork trail.

I am very sorry to hear this update, @Livinfast85. Please follow up with my most recent PM when you can so I can get you set up with a specialist for further support.

So I installed my bed lighting kit over the weekend. I'm posting this because I found something while doing the install. While running the wiring harness for the kit, there is an area behind the drivers side rear wheel well that has a large wire bundle which is supposed to run in a slot next to a steel bracket. On my truck, this wire bundle was actually jammed against a relatively sharp corner of that bracket. I'm honestly surprised it hadn't worn through the insulation of some of the wires. I was able to gain enough slack to reposition that wire bundle to it's proper location. This was in an area that wasn't really visible until I removed the wheelhouse liner. It got me asking myself a few questions...if this happened here, where else in the truck has it happened? And how many other trucks are like this? And finally, might this explain why so many people have experienced strange seemingly random problems with their trucks? I think I'll spend some more time examining my truck for more potential wiring strangeness.

I'm glad my dealer isn't the only one that refuses to do any warranty work!
