One of the best uses I have for my 12 inch screen is that is helps with the navigation system, the big screen is helpful. On road trips it's also pretty cool that they display the speed limit for the road you're on. I've watched the display as I was passing into a slower speed zone, and as soon as I pass the sign on the road, the display changes. I like it.

Yesterday I happened to have the nav screen open while on a road near my house that has a 40 MPH speed limit, and has had that limit since the road was built. The nav system was telling me the speed limit was 55 MPH. That's going to be a nasty surprise for someone eventually. 15 MPH over the limit is gonna suck, and most people drive 5 over the limit, which in this case would put you 20 over.

This isn't an "update" thing, it's just an error. The road has never been higher than 40 MPH. I wonder how many other surprises are out there. It was no big deal for me because I live here and I know that both the speed limit is 40, and that the road is heavily monitored for speeding. I'll have to remember to rely less on those speed limit listings on the nav when on road trips.

My 8.4" Nav on my '15 was very accurate when it came to speed limits but the 12" on my '20 seems to have quite a few "55" speeds shown on secondary and tertiary roads which either used to be correct or didn't display a speed at all.

Even so though, the 12" Nav is much better than what Android auto displays, if it displays at all.

Yeah I've noticed that on a few roads as well, most notably to me would be the road my step daughter lives on, in absolute suburbia. Speed limit is 30 but I'm allowed to go 55 according to the truck. I don't use maps in those neighborhoods but it pops up on my HUD.

That's nothing. The road in my neighborhood has a speed limit of 25 mph and my map shows the speed limit as 70 mph. It's a very helpful feature most of the time, especially when the little sign tuns red when you exceed the speed limit, but I wish they would fix the inaccurate speed limits. I wonder if there's a place we can report inaccurate map information? I realize it would take a year+ to get added to a map update, but it's better than nothing.

Mine is red once I get up to speed. It turns red if you go 1 mph over the speed limit, and I'm always 4 or 5 over.
