Noticed mine isnt draining, and I have the funky smell too.
I'm going to look for the drain; mine doesn't leave much of the telltale water when parked and the musty smell is pretty bad sometimes; most often after eTorque
Anyone find a fix for this? 2019 Ram 1500 with 17k miles. Stank smell every time I start the truck but it goes away after a few minutes. I’m in hot Arizona and AC is on full blast when I start it up.
I see talk of cabin filter change and unclogging AC drain but no one is saying that fixed the problem here.
I’m also having the same issue here in San Diego. I just purchased my ram about two weeks ago and I started noticing the smell over the last 5 days or so. I replaced the cabin air filter which I advise doing but the smell is still there. I’m going to call the dealer in the morning and get them on this issue and I’ll get back to you guys with a solution as soon as I can.
Because the truck is so new and the time of year I can't believe the air conditioner has been used much. Did this vehicle sit on the dealers lot for a while? It's possible that a water leak elsewhere is causing a problem.Sorry to dig up an older post but Did any of these ever get fixed ...
Only asking cause my brand new truck ( no plates yet) is having same issues lol
Whats the fix for this? You may not notice any dampness on your floor. It could be the condensation drains in your AC system, and the moisture is staying inside AC unit, hence the moldy smell when you turn on the fan.
Bumping yet again to see if anyone has a solution for this. My truck is 4 months old and has had this smell for the past couple of months.
It is very present when the truck shuts down the engine with the autostart/stop and goes away once the truck gets moving again.
It kind of smells like vinegar. Recirc is off btw.
I get the vinegar smell in my Ram too.
My old F150 had it, as well as my wife's Infiniti.
Did the Lysol spray in the cowling on the Ford. Not too keen to try it on the brand new Ram. I figure its just a function of living in such a humid environment, but if I could get rid of it, I'd be happy.
