Put some petroleum jelly (Vaseline) over the connection - it will help prevent oxidation corrosion. First thing I do with a new vehicle is take a q-tip and spread a thin film over the battery posts and ground point. Never had a corrosion issue with any vehicle because of it. Simple and cheap trick.
