So I just got my new truck and had the soft top replaced with what we thought the factory was sending with the Mopar hard folding tonneau (just like my old BAKFlip). Question is there is a gap at the front of the box that I can clearly see daylight through. Any thoughts on how to close that up. Note that this is on a ram box.
Thanks

When you front do you mean at the tailgate? If so you need some weather stripping on both sides. You can pickup at Home Depot and cut to size or buy a kit (truxedo makes one) which can also be used to tighten up other areas that might not be perfect. Plenty of threads here that discuss it. Few pics of mine below.

Make sure you go file for this additional rebate. Seems like they have been having problems with vin numbers being in the system so you have to call them so they send you the actual app. Do it within 60 days of purchase. Many of us have already received our checks. No strings attached.

The only qualification is that “someone in your household” must have a non-FCA vehicle.

No I’m at the other end of the box. Right behind the cab. I have to do the tailgate side but that’s the easy fix

Did your cover come with a bulkhead seal? Can you take some pics? Not sure how yours attaches but I would have thought they all come with something that seals it up against the bulkhead. That should be the easy part.

Same thing happened to me when inistalled the Bakflip MX4 in my truck w/ rambox. I also used weather stripping to fill both sides of the tailgate.

There will be some variations depending on cover selection and what your vehicle options are (ramboxes, rails, etc). You should try and keep that in mind when installing since you might have to go back and make some minor adjustments/tweaks in order to get everything perfect. After you get things as good as you can, do a water test with a hose on all areas. You can then go and hit any trouble areas with some weather stripping.

Yes at the bulkhead. Dealer installed it so who know what it actually care with. Seem like the aluminium channels on each side are 1/4” too high for the whole cover to sit perfectlyCEA2AC5B-D09C-47A0-A65C-9D6E99F1B08C.jpegA4EE6A7C-DF04-4FC9-9FFF-C06EA59B0782.jpeg

If I were you rather than messing with it and trying to fix what they did, I would go back to the dealer and have them remove and reinstall the entire cover correctly. Take lots of pics of the install and current condition in the even they make it worse. Just tell the service writer what the issue is and explain you would like it reinstalled correctly.

If you had done it yourself I would suggest tweaking it etc but since they did it they should make it nice and tight. You should not have to start applying bandaids.

It was my Monday plan already. Thanks

Hi Wlgtv,
We understand why this may be frustrating. We suggest having your dealer address this concern if you have not done so already. We are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.

Thanks. Yes the dealer is taking care of it. Seems that the rail may be the wrong ones

Does your new cover act like this?

Yes. I had seen your post before and it was the first thing I checked. My dealer is looking into a solution since they installed it

Please let me know what you learn.
Mine ended up with Truck Hero (the manufacturer) saying there is nothing they can do. I haven't had any more progress.
