I recently joined this community. I found the site very informative as I was trying to figure out how to configure the new 1500 that I just ordered. My first Dodge truck was a 1964 D100, short bed stepside, with a 318 and granny four-speed. It was 10 years old when I bought it after high school.
It served me well for a couple of years. I remember it threw the timing chain once on a long trip. A road-side gas station charged me $ 115 to replace it.
I have been a Mopar guy since the early 70's. They were great cars. Today they are even greater cars. Any car company that builds 700 horsepower cars and trucks for the masses has my respect.
The performance image engenderd by these vehicles filters down to what I drive. I like that. THESE are the good, old days...
