I don't mean to start anything and this might determine if I continue to be part of this group.

Was there something that came later in the thread that was so bad it needed to be deleted?

I started reading it from the beginning and did not see anything that was so bad it should have been removed. Was there something so foul or an admin simply wanted it gone?
