Mildew odor

Well been having mildew odor recently in mine. I have had mine going on 2 yrs and only 18000 miles and never anything till recently. I checked and I have a water stain on my headliner drivers side rear. I have no cracks on rear window frame, the plugs between the bed and cab are fully pushed in. I called my dealer and they said they source that out and to stop by so they can see it quickly. How do you source this stuff out when it is a Ram issue? My build date is 3-18

Indeed - even those that do not have the Pano Roof are having the leaks - mostly the 3rd brake light seal (I had fixed mine initially, but think I need to seal it again - more permanently).

I am considering going up and running a bead of silicone around there and the antenna to ward off the evil. it seems a lot easier to do it before I have a problem and have to deal with the fallout.

How do you source this stuff out when it is a Ram issue?

They scheduled an "water intrusion expert" to come in and diagnose/confirm the source of my water leak.
It`s still on FCA`s dime.

I'd mentioned the occasional mildew smell to my dealer the couple times I've had the truck in there. Well on the last visit they said the cabin filter had gotten wet and mildewed. They recommended replacing it. I let them do it because I was in a rush to head out of town, but my concern was how did that much water get in there and that quickly? Keep in mind I first smelled this within the first month or two of ownership. Well, it's been a few months since then and we've had quite a bit of rain and no more mildew smell. Fortunately for me, there's been no other noticeable leak spots on the carpet or headliner so hopefully this is resolved, but I'm still left wondering how the original air filter got so mildewy so quickly after buying it.

pull the carpet and check the padding under. there is likely water there that is truly the issue.

Haven't had the smell in months, despite plenty of rain during that time, so I think if I still had any leaks or moisture issues, I'd smell it!

Seems that Ram can't build a truck that doesn't leak, mold up, etc. for the last decade or more. Should be a class action lawsuit for the health hazards they've created and can't or won't fix.
