I'm sure no one ever has a few drinks before getting behind the wheel, so this might not be a very useful post.

There have been a few studies showing various vehicles involved with DUI arrests. I've seen one showing Ram as #1.

Many police organizations are increasing roving patrols and holding DUI Checkpoints over this memorial day weekend.

So the take away is to leave your Ram at home if you're going to be drinking. :)

In all seriousness, I'm not a fan of those who drink and drive, but I think I dislike the idea of checkpoints more.

I don't drink so I'm really not a fan of anyone that gets behind the wheel, after drinking. Check points don't bother me possibly a little inconvenience but hopefully they'll take some drunk drivers off the road.

How old is that article?
S-10 and Dakota are both in the top 5.

Also, the article specifically states Dodge Ram 2500...

That’s because it’s mostly rednecks with old beater Dodge trucks that are doing the drinking and driving lol.
I kid, I kid

Since you started it. Not sure where a Dodge Dakota belongs! Dakota go to the red necks or city slickers?
BMW and Audi with the city slickers?

That's from 2020. I followed the link within the ad to the actual article, and it took me to the 2024 results.

How long has the Astro been out of production???

I do not drink and have not since my oldest was born 25 years ago. Nevertheless, in Texas, DUI checkpoints are illegal. Nonetheless, that article identified Ram HD as the most common vehicle being driven by someone guilty of drunk driving when stopped at a DUI checkpoint. Those darn Ram HD drivers! Glad not many of them spend time drunk typing in this forum.

About fifteen years, but they are still popular with a certain demográfico where I live.
In my AO they all drive retired HVAC service vans. What was the Chevy version of the Ford Econoline? Express?

What ever van it was that had sheets of white paint peeling off.
