Mark Dodge Thread

So I actually live in the area and I don't really understand why Mark Dodge is so popular on here. No issues with them just without going through all 63 pages of this thread I'm trying to understand what the benefit is? At the time of buying my truck I ended up going with someone else for various reasons. Can't imagine a flight and mutli-state drive home would be worth it.
Double digit % below MSRP. ALL dealers in my area were wanting MSRP + or would not even give a firm price until the truck arrived......then add no hassle, straightforward, honest, responsive.....etc.... They have a great reputation and will bend over backwards to keep it!

Have you been contacted by MD yet? Mine arrived with yours and I haven’t been contacted.
Just got an email 10 minutes ago with pictures of the truck and instructions from Charles Davis, but no call yet. Still trying to figure out how to log into their financing site to see if their rates are better than my credit union.

Where would everyone choose to eat while in there area( its been posted but lets rehash):ROFLMAO:
We ate at Nina P's. I'm not a big fan of Cajun so I got the cheese steak and it was fantastic. My wife got something Cajun and liked it!

First I want to say it's hard enough waiting for my truck to get to the dealership (unloaded at port 3/17) now on top of that I have to see on all the great food I'm missing out on! LOL Have to say MD is by far the best place to order a new Ram from. I live in CA & IL and no dealer would deal like MD, in CA they make it sound like MSRP is a good deal. Keep the good food recommendations coming. I'll be driving from CA to MD when the truck gets there so anything on the way will work for me. Love Diners drive in's & most of all Dives!

If your route takes you through Austin Tx. check out “ginnys” Little Longhorn. Especially if you are looking for the “dives”. If you are there on a Sunday they have chicken $hit Sundays! They have a cage with numbers on a piece of plywood. You buy squares and If the chicken “selects” your number to $hit on you win the pot! It’s a blast!! Cold longnecks too!!

Thanks everyone for the heads up on everything.

Recommendations on that would be nice also as there are a few casinos in the area also I'm thinking.
Darrell's is a great stop for food. They have great sandwiches, but the place is huge and set up more like a bar. Was packed at lunch when I passed through.

The good news is I don't have to appear for jury duty, the even better news is my truck has arrived at the dealership. The bad news is they won't be able to complete the PDI until Monday. So, it looks like a road trip on Tuesday.

Nice. Congrats!

I wonder how many Patriot Blue Southwest Editions Mark Dodge has sold.

I thought it was "standard operating procedure" for any dealer to always give a full tank of gas on sale of a new vehicle. I've only done two brand new vehicle purchases in the past ( one in '07 and one in '15 ) and in each case they fully gassed up the vehicle before we drove off.
I noticed on the POC it has a line item for "5 additional gallons of gas" and I asked Renae about that and she said, if I recall correctly, that's what the factory send and that they put an additional $30 worth into it. With their prices and service being so awesome I hadn't the heart to push the point, but in the back of my mind I was thinking "man, that's a bit lame" ! Although... if they filled every 33 gallon tank that left their lot, that would add up for them I guess !
I believe they also put on locking lug nuts too!

Does any happen to know if the $1000 ram credit card incentive will stack on the $1000 incentive pop up from the ram web site? I have no need for another credit card but will open one from ram if i get to stack the incentive!

Call the incentive hotline. Don't have number handy, but is on the ram website. Depends on who you talk to as well. Some will tell you everything it seems, while others try to steer you back to dealer for the information.
Good Luck.

Ya i have done that twice now, they were helpful but ir seemed i knew more of the incentives than they did. Although they did comfirm and give me codes for the ones i knew about..there ia also a great lakes incentive but i do not qualify in pa. She said that may come next month.
I did read a bit more about the $1000 ram card incentive, seems you have to spend $7500, not sure if transfers or purchasing outside of ram products. I would love to use the card for $7500 down money to get the $1000. I may call later. After i get up, just got off midnight shift

Has anyone revisited ordering through MD with direct from factory delivery to local dealer? While some dealers may not want to take the time to prep and deliver, others might for the prospect of getting service business. They do get paid by Ram for dealer prep so there should be no additional cost and depending on distance from factory a possible savings for Ram. I work by the Port of Baltimore from what I see it appears all prep is done at the shipping destination prior to being loaded on car carriers anyway. That could possibly take incentive away because the dealer wouldn't make any money there. The other possible drawback would be signing off on the purchase with the ordering dealer ( again no money in the delivered dealers pocket). Heck maybe negotiate a fee? It could still be less than shipping from MD. I recall seeing a few being shipped to other than ordering dealership. Any updates??

I'm finalizing my paperwork with MD (remotely) for a Big Horn. Sandi wrote in a $750 rebate/incentive, with the assurance that I'd get the higher of that or whatever exists at the time of pickup/purchase.
Using Tread Lightly, Military, and whatever else is out there, yesterday I ended up with a total of $4,000 in rebates/incentives.

Today, running through finance, I lost $1,250 of that by going with a 0%/48 month Chrysler finance. (I expected that. My Laramie, last year through Philip Olson at Bud Clary, was a 0%/72 month and dropped $1,000 in rebate/incentive. Hey, they've got to pay for that "free" loan somehow...)

So, rebates and incentives have flexed for me from $750, to $4,000, to (my choice) down to $2,750.

YMMV.

Just picked up our 1500 Longhorn at MD 2 hours ago l. Dropped off the rental and heading back to DFW! Smoothest car buying process next to Tesla!View attachment 123663View attachment 123664
Looks great!

I'm trying to plan my road trip.

How long did it actually take to drive away after you arrived at the dealership? And, had you completed all the financing prior to arriving?

Thanks!
