Mark Dodge Thread

So I actually live in the area and I don't really understand why Mark Dodge is so popular on here. No issues with them just without going through all 63 pages of this thread I'm trying to understand what the benefit is? At the time of buying my truck I ended up going with someone else for various reasons. Can't imagine a flight and mutli-state drive home would be worth it.

Well...

We dealt with Jason I believe. He wouldn't give me the purchase price minus rebates just the monthly payment. I wasn't playing that game. Said we had our own financing and needed the OTD pricing. Got the paperwork and see that we got the tread lightly and only $1500 of the $2000 in rebates...here we go again!!!
Who did you deal with from sales? If I had those issues, I'd have gone back to Aaron with my concerns.

Around my area (KS), I tried dealing with several CDJR dealerships and none of them would budge from MSRP minus any incentives for anything that is ordered (or even on the lot). Even after factoring in shipping charges to me in KS, I'll still be several thousand bucks under MSRP. Worth it to me.

After the deal I got with MD and the incentives, I will be almost 17% under MSRP. There wasn't a dealer in a 250 mile radius that would come close to that deal. I had already placed an order with my local dealer before I knew about MD. Ended up cancelling that order and eating my $2k deposit because the deal I got through MD was that good. I'm sure there are other dealers throughout the US that may be as good at MD, but after hearing about so many people here having such great customer service with MD, I decided to place my order with them. Even with the high cost of gas, having to drive 580 miles to go get my truck, and the $2k I ate, I still saved close to $10k. And that matters to me.

Yes the one where you put your email in? We got $1k off incentive when we ordered the car, another $1k off from the website popup, and $500 off for tread lightly.

Finance guy pissed me off though. Told me my finance chargers would be 2% more if we didn't get any of the warranty packages! Good thing we have our own financing!
Thanks for the heads up, my truck just arrived at MD this morning. Was hoping to hear by tomorrow and start the finance part. I’m passing on DCJR financing, my credit Union gave me 3.49% for 84 months or 2.99 for 72 months.

Well, I assume then, that you have never talked to a Florida dealer. If not, you're in for a real treat.

Likewise, SOCAL dealers generally behave as if MSRP is a bargain. Even the Fleet/internet reps often won't budge from MSRP. I can only conclude that SOCAL car buyers generally accept the MSRP BS.

Your zip code. Incentives are based on location vehicle will be registered.
Perfect thank you! Now if I could just get my sales guy to give me aan updated POC. Nice enough guy, but not really living up to some of the examples the rest of you have posted.

22% below MSRP is why I went with MD. Remember too, there is a difference between the price of a lot vehicle and the price of a custom order. Patience nets you the largest savings. There's a reason they're the #1 Ram Dealer.

Drove through Lake Charles today on the way back home. Yep spotted a bunch of Mark Dodge license plates which I’m not surprised. It’s ridiculous how packed Port Allen is nowadays lol it’s always mayhem around that area.

Does anyone know when taking delivery, do you have to go through “MARK DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP LLC - Secure Credit Application (routeone.net)for your financing.”?

Just courteous…This the very first step in the instruction for taking delivery and I found my credit already took a hard hit after this before I even see any of the financial guys…

Thanks everyone for the heads up on everything.
Where would everyone choose to eat while in there area( its been posted but lets rehash):ROFLMAO: Also will be staying over and drive back the following day.
Recommendations on that would be nice also as there are a few casinos in the area also I'm thinking.

Unless you have your own financing or paying cash, in that you are wiring the entire amount of money to them. They don't care where you get it from.

If you are financing from them, you do not have a choice. That is how they process it.

Good luck.

Best answer is to call or email them ahead of time and get a concrete answer from them directly.

Yeah, I dealt with Marsh and didn't have anything like that come up.
I dealt with Marsh as well. No mention of it with me either. I would have a discussion with Aaron, I'm sure he would like to know about this practice!

Aaron hit me up this morning while out on vacation. Let me just say this, he made everything right! Any salesperson that takes time away from their family to take care of an issue is top notch customer service. Picking truck up tomorrow!!!

Thanks for the heads up about the additional 2%. I'll have to watch for that when I talk to their Finance folks. Looks like mine landed on their lot today too when I checked with Renae.
Have you been contacted by MD yet? Mine arrived with yours and I haven’t been contacted.
