Lowest Profile Ditch-Light Brackets?

With all the different variants of ditch-light mounts out there, do we know which are the lowest profile? Many setups I've seen in real life have the light pods popped up like meercats. Not only does it look tacky, it would likely obscure part of the drivers vision, which kind of defeats the purpose right? I know of the Oracle mirror lights, and those truly are the most integrated version of the ditch light, but I don't want to go through the hassle of taking apart the folding mirrors and door panels to run power, plus they want over $400 for the set... but other than those, do we have examples of ditch lights that are tight to the vehicle?

You could probably change this by getting an "L"bracket and mounting the light sideways.. The lights themselves have the bolt that comes out the bottom that won't allow mounting any closer. Besides, regular ditch lights don't interfere with vision.
