Long lasting Ram?

Yea yea, we've all told our wives, (most of us anyway, right?). this is the truck for the rest of my life...NOT!

3-5 years from now when the then new models come out, your equity in your current vehicle is more than payoff, you will more that likely tell the Mrs. " Hey, Honey, this is the one i will drive the wheels off. Just look at that nice Patriot Blue color.
To be fair, I never said “the rest of my life”. Just till the wheels fall off. Then on to a new one.

When I was a kid, we went on lots of family road trips in the early 1990s. On one road trip, maybe 1992 or 1993, we were driving down a really long, straight incline and the small truck in the lane next to us had its back left wheel completely come off. It rolled straight down between our two vehicles and stayed straight on the line for at least 20-30 seconds until it passed out of sight.

The driver next to us looked like he was sh***ing bricks.

Probably the only memory from those road trips that's indelibly ingrained in my memory!
Wait a minute...you need to finish the story! Did that guy manage to three-wheel it to the shoulder?

Just get the unlimited miles lifetime bumper to bumper warranty for little over$2750 and don't worry about it. No other truck makers does this! Handing this truck off to the boy when I'm done and he'll still have a warranty.

As far as I can remember, he did. He had been holding pace next to our van for several minutes beforehand, but I remember him gradually slowing down after the wheel and his truck mutually decided to break up. I assume he made it to the shoulder!

I have a friend who still owns a 2003 Ram 1500 with over 280,000 on it. He's replaced the water pump twice and exhaust manifold studs. Amazingly he says the motor does not use hardly any oil and runs like new.

unfortunately the body is badly rusted.

Dusty

Rust is the only thing that has caused issue with both my Hemi 2500 and my V10 2500. Mechanically they run like new.
