Hello everyone!

Noticed today while my son was riding in the back of my limited, the rear a/c seat vent would not turn on for some time after starting the truck. After a few minutes of driving we could hit the button and all seemed great. It happened three times, only on the passenger side, driver rear a/c seat worked fine. All three times i started the truck with remote start. It seems if I start it normally (using the button on the dash), it works just fine.

I think I may have stumbled on some sort of software bug. Can anyone else reproduce this behavior with their limited?

Might be a setting in Uconnect. Mine only turns on the driver seat with remote start on the comfort setting.

Hmm, My description was not clear. Let me see if I can clear up the process. Three different times I cranked up the truck remotely and let it run for maybe thirty seconds while walking toward it from stores With my son. When we climb in, my driver seat is cooling and the AC is on. My son pushes the button to turn on the rear passenger side ventilated seat and nothing happens, no lights, no fan, nothing. I ask him to turn on the other side to check and it works just fine. I ask him to try his heater too, no lights, no nothing. After driving for a few minutes, we try again and voila, working like a champ.

If we try the same process but without the remote start, it works just fine.

Let me know any thoughts or if you can replicate.

Thanks!

Anthony

I checked mine both ways for you. Rear seats both came on fine both in remote start or normal start. You obviously have some sort of problem with the rear driver side seat. Sorry, hope the dealership can fix it for you.

Thank you for checking!! I'll have to plan on getting this checked soon.

Noticed my driver side rear seat was not working tonight - first time I’ve tried it. Button lights up as expected, and the heated seat works fine, but no ventilation. Passenger side works as expected. I assume there are at least 2 fans for each seat, so that would rule out a defective fan. Must be an electrical or software issue? Will have to investigate further on my truck.

Sorry for the trouble, @392DCGC! If you decide to address this with your dealer, our team is just a private message away and more than happy to get you set up with additional support for that process.

I don't have a Limited, so no ventilated rear seats. I'll try to remember to check on my girlfriends Limited when I have a chance. But, for the front seats when I remote start my truck, the driver seat ventilation is on, but I can't turn on the passenger seat ventilation or heat until after pressing the Start button once I'm in my truck. When you are seeing this happen, is it after you remote start but before you press the Start button? You never mentioned this so I thought I'd ask for clarification.
